"Stay away from this hotel"

This should be an historical hotel. We assure you that the renovation has destroyed any kind of the historical charme that one should expect. In the colours of purple, black and silver and gold, the hotel reminds you of a brothel. The only thing that has escaped renovation may have been the bed which may date back to Proust with a softish cover to conceal this sad truth. The people at desk reception are not nice and they do not speak good english.All in all if you expect from the pictures on the web site to enter in an elegant, historical and charming hotel you will be totally disappointed.No value for money.Finally nothing is as sad as a high wi-fi rate in a minimum of 280 euro hotel per night without breakfast.

The hotel is perfectly redecorated ! The rooms are really superb, the combination of the historical charm with modern design is incredible. The bed was huge, and the sleeping experience just amazing.

By far the most stately and prominent spot in Cabourg. Good location, great decor, charm, and friendly staff. Would gladly return.

We have had a lovely stay in the Grand Hotel Cabourg, the location, the room, everything was prima. The only negative about the hotel is the gourmet experience we have booked. The dinner served in the evening in the hotel was absolutely not good including the service. The different courses were served very fast after each other and the food really was below our expectations. It was his value not worth. We booked the gourmet experience for two nights but we have cancelled this arrangement for the second night as we were all very disappointed. The second night we have been dining out of the hotel and must say it was a very good decision. A pity of the bad experience with the dinner but for the rest the hotel is perfect and really recommendable.

Great situation, facing on to well tended gardens & at the back straight on to the beach.Well appointed rooms, good service & knowledgeable reception staff. We stayed 2 nights & it made a nice change from staying at the Normandy or Du Golf in Deauville for the races. Two modest downsides: parking is unpredictable although a porter kindly took charge when we arrived. Dining room was a little staid.

This is the most excellent hotel in a fantastic location on the beach. Very comfortable and well appointed room. The only downside is the lack of dedicated car parking for guests. One can be left trying to find an on street space which may be some distance from the hotel.The continetal breakfast semed quite expensive - perhaps it should be included in the room price.We had a lovely relaxing stay and hope to return.
