Mercure Rouen Val de Reuil: 4.0 out of 5 stars "JGS Westwood"

18th September 2012, Grahamwestwood, Buckingham, United Kingdom

A Good hotel Stay again and recomend it ,but the disabled bath is too High and should be just a shower, the Website should have stated that the Restaurant is closed at the weekend during august but there are Good Restaurants next door

Mercure Rouen Val de Reuil: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Overnight stay"

31st August 2012, Doncaster

Hotel is easy to find and convenient for the motorway. It is a business focused hotel that services the nearby industrial area so travelling holiday makers do look a bit out of place as it is not on the sight seeing route! Hotel looks tired from the outside but the reception is smart and staff were welcoming and efficient. Room was showing its age - particularly the bathroom and its fittings but the bed and furniture were in good order and gave an 'up market' feel that was at odds with the somewhat tired decor. Room and bedding were all very clean but not enough towels and the aircon was an all or nothing affair. The TV only has French chanels. Had a comfortable nights sleep. We ate out rather than in and there a few restraunts very close by to choose from. The Patateria is good value. Didn't take breakfast as it was 13.50 euros. We booked direct through the Accor website that was offering a 40% discount so I would rate this as good value otherwise it would have been 80 euros, which for a quick overnight stay is less so! Would definitely stay again if there was a deal on as you may feel a bit dissapointed by its 4 star rating.

Mercure Rouen Val de Reuil: 3.0 out of 5 stars "one-night stopover near Rouen"

28th August 2012, Hels38_11, Newent, United Kingdom

Easy to find, handy location south of Rouen, very helpful staff. Breakfast buffet not cheap but fairly varied and tasty - scrambled eggs freshly cooked for us. Got the room on a deal as the restaurant was closed and there was no pool (notified before booking). The chain eateries nearby were adequate but not inspiring. Public areas in the hotel looked new and attractive, however some of the furniture and decor in the room & bathroom was in need of renewal. Car park was inside the fenced-off grounds but little visible evidence of security measures - however, we had no problems despite car being obviously crammed with camping kit, roof box etc. The place was all but deserted on a Thursday night in August - maybe due to lack of facilities - very peaceful, despite being close to the autoroute. Relatively easy to navigate into Rouen and onwards towards Channel ports. We'd go back, especially if thehotel restaurant was available.

Mercure Rouen Val de Reuil: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Mercure Rouen Val De Reuil"

6th July 2011, GillyBDerbyshire, Derbyshire

A good hotel for anyone not wishing to drive into town centre. Well decorated rooms with ensuite bathrooms, coffee facitilies in room. Although close to major roads the room we had was quite. Choice of places to eat within walking distance (although these are well known chain eateries). We stayed here enroute to Calais so suited us fine after a long drive back up from southern France. Would use this hotel again. Free WiFi. Hotel parking on site.
