I had several issues what I enumerated at check out. I was told the manager would contact us. No one ever did. 1) The room was very cold and the heating unit did not work 2) the coffee nepresso unit wasn't replace with fresh coffee and it wasn't cleaned. The dirty spoon from the first morning was left there. 3) there were two tissues in the tissue box and there was no backup nor was it replaced. There should have been some contact when you have an unhappy patron.

Lovely Hotel, Terrible Restaurant . . . After a long road trip we arrived at the Hotel where we stayed before. As I had checked the restaurants' menu online a few days ago I thought I would be delighted with what I hoped were some great French classics . . . . Being a graduate of the Hotelschool of Lausanne I have an academic and practical restaurant background. We each ordered two starters as our evening meal; Œufs coulants « plein air » de Gevrey-Chambertin façon meurette, the sauce meurette was nothing more than a heavy demi glace reduction with a hint of red wine. It was served with cold soggy breadsticks. 3/10 is my grade. Followed by an all time classic: Soupe à l’oignons doux revisitée au Mont d’Or. My disappointment was monumental. Some sort of cold beige tasteless soft quenelle with a few token onion leaves and the broth, yet again more demi glace now with a hint of onion broth, served in a small jar which was added to the cold concoction in the plate. Something out of a horror book when you expect an oven baked crust of bread and cheese on top of a piping hot onion soup with plenty onions in a tasty meat or vegetable stock. 2/10 is my grade. True French classics cuisine can be refined without ruining the traditional recipe. Improving is terrific reinventing a classic is an absolute no no!

A charming building, and very well positioned on the central Place Darcy. Excellent service from the hotel. Good secure parking. Excellent breakfast, and again excellent service. One area for improvement: the drains in our room smelt awful. You did well sorting this out, once we asked you to. But we shouldn't have to ask! You should know about this and deal with it before your guests arrive.
