"impropriety of the the staff"

The Grill Courtepaille, restaurant attached to the Ibis, is the worst place to have a meal.Terrible service & food. We complaint to the Ibis front desk, and were told the restaurant operates indepentantly. Stay away!!! After 4 weeks of great food, wine & service in France, this was a total disaster.

The 2nd stay at this hotel just on the perimeter of the airport - really great to be able to get free shuttle bus back/forth to the terminals at ungodly hours.Staff really accommodating and surprisingly helpful for this type of hotel e.g. we were able to check in before lunch no problem, helpful with map advice.Room was spotless and we managed to get all our suitcases in it. No intrusive airplane noise.Great for the early morning flight, everything worked.

Very convenient location near the airport with shuttle service if you intend to leave early or rent a car in the morning. Breafast ist very good for a reasonable price and you have free WiFi accessStaff is very friendly and helpfull and speak very good English which is not the norm in France!!!!

I would recomend it to anyone who needs to catch an early flight and doesn't want to hurt its budget.The restaurant "la courte paille" is a plus, everything you need is on site: shuttle, food, nice bed...

Convenient and comfortable for an overnight stay at the airport to catch an early morning flight. Good value with the online advance payment. Pretty well all of the services one might want for a short stay, including wifi, pool,and Restaurant in hotel.

Very handy for early late flight at Marseille Airport and the hotel supply a shuttle bus service to / from Airport Terminals.Restaurant provides a good selection of food at reasonable prices.Staff very helpful, courteous and friendly.

We found your hotel was very reasonably priced, in addition to being conveniently located near the Marseille Airport (about 0.5 km). The free shuttle to the airport was much appreciated, and it was scheduled early enough to allow for a relaxed check-in. The hotel room was spotlessly clean. The bed's mattress gave us a very comfortable sleep prior to our early morning flight. Thank you & please continue to maintain your high standards.

My overnight stay at this hotel ended a perfect two week trip to France. I found the staff to be very friendly and hospitable and made sure I got to the airport in plenty of time to catch my flight! My only problem was when we went for a walk and on our return we found the front gate locked and did not know how to get back into the hotel. The gate opened when a car wanted to enter onto the property.

The hotel staff were polite and checked us in quickly. English was spoken, which was a great help for someone whose French is basic. The hotel was easy to get to from the terminal, in fact it could be seen. The food was basic but adequate. I wish that Ibis would put sensible towels in their bathrooms. One silly, thin and quite small bath-towel is not enough.

We stayed here just over night so that we could catch a plane early in the morning. We had good service and the shuttle was very convenient. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It was well kept and nice. It wouldn't be good for an extended period of time just because it is too far from Marseille, but for one night it was great.

No hanging about for 30 min waiting for the shuttle bus. Was there within seconds of the call. No collecting of passengers either on the return to the airport in the morning.OK so you can see the terminal from the bedroom window but do you think they make walkways at airports!Take the shuttle as there is even a direct line at the shuttle bus stop.Was expecting coffee and tea in the room so disappointed about that as I thought that was standard IBIS.

This hotel is extremely convenient for anyone with a very early flight out of Marseille. It is also reasonably priced and clean -- nothing fancy, just good basics. The restaurant is quite acceptable and reasonably priced, so one can comfortably eat at the hotel without the hassle of organizing transportation and touring the airport and industrial zone. The staff are all quite pleasant and helpful -- a "youthfully relaxed" service attitude, but very appropriate for guests in transit. The shuttle to the airport is very helpful.

A good hotel if you need somewhere to crash before/after travelling from/to Marseille Airport, it's well located with a shuttle bus running between the hotel and the airport. Overall it's what you expect from a basic airport hotel - VERY basic, rooms clean but soulless, could do with an update, but overall you don't expect much more. Reception staff weren't that friendly, the "bienvenue" via phone from the airport was less than friendly as I was ordered out of the terminal and to wait at the navette bus stop and ring them from there. It was freezing cold and I would rather have waited in the terminal, but no matter. The restaurant is ok, a Courtepaille so bog-standard steak/frites affair, but good friendly service and I ate well. Breakfast is standard but good. The main gripe was the SMELL of the hotel, it smelt like cleaning products that had gone stale, really very unpleasant and not to be recommended. It put me off and I probably wouldn't stay here again. WAY too pricey for a hotel of this standard, no matter how convenient for the airport.
