"Handy location"
26th February 2013, Newcastle, Australia
Travelled with my husband & we found the room to be comfortable in line with the usual expectations of a Novotel hotel. It was easy to get to be train being close to Brussels central (not the international station). The hotel is close to the old Brussels city centre with tourist attractions close by.
"Good location, Big Room"
17th February 2013, flawlessss, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
I can recommend this hotel in terms of location and size of the rooms. It was clean. Reception desk could have been more efficient but it was ok in general. Brussels is a very good city for a weekend trip and this hotel enables a better experience due to its proximity to all key locations.
"Nice Hotel - City Center"
11th February 2013, Pfalzgrafenweiler, Germany
The Hotel was nice, as expected from Novotel / Accor. The Location is perfect near the Grand Place in Brussels. A Taxi rank is direct at the Hotel. Subway Stations are near. Lot´s of good Food places around the Hotel. Breakfast is not the best, but okay.
"Video hookups available"
6th February 2013, gerv_markham, Sheffield, United Kingdom
The room has a connector panel so you can hook up your laptop or sound system to the in-room TV, or charge your USB devices. Take an HDMI or VGA cable if your laptop supports it and you want to watch films in the evening or something.
"Very good hotel and nice location"
28th January 2013, mcicogni, Brescia, Italy
I was thoroughly satisfied with my stay at Novotel off'Grand Place. First of all the name is truthful - the hotel is not _on_ Grand Place, but just off it, in a nice historic section of Brussels. It features a brasserie open until late (handy when you fly in at night and you're hungry) with more than decent food and reasonable prices. There's a taxi stand right on the curb (handy if you need to get to the airport quick) and the Central Station, with a Metro stop, is right behind it. It has a fitness room although the hotel is not enormous. And finally the bed was just perfect :-)Unfortunately when I stayed there the shower tap was broken, and would only give lukewarm water, but I'm sure it was just bad luck on my part. The lack of a toilet brush, however, was really inconvenient.
"Perfect Locatiom"
10th January 2013, AdyG, Hove,England
Arrived at Brussels Midi - Saw sign for "rue marche aux herbes," followed the ramp. It is adjacent to the station and a stone throw from Grand Place, yet still quiet.Check in was speedy and was able to leave bags securely after check out. Would recommend hotel.
"Best Location"

This hotel positions at best location I have ever stayed in Brussels. It is very close to Grand Place or center of Brussels. I would like to recommend this hotel to everyone from rail station or car parking.
"Ideal Location"
31st December 2012
Novatel is a great hotel ideally located in the centre of the town and next to the major train station. Rooms were a little small given that our booking was for a family room, hotel facilities were adequate and staff was friendly.
"A comfortable stay except for a sewage smell in the bathroom and difficulties in communicating requirements in English"
27th December 2012, HolidayingInEurope, LONDON
We stayed at this hotel for 5 days. The reception staff member was well-spoken and incredibly helpful. Perhaps most importantly we informed reception of a strong scent of sewage bubbling up from the wash basin in the bathroom. Despite reminding them, nothing was done. Not impressive at all considering this is not a no-frills hotel!!Also a bizarre occurence during our stay. We had used one single and one duvet. One afternoon after the cleaning one duvet cover just could not understand our request and we were told we could not have more than one duvet in the room even when the duvet was still in the room but sans cover !!! ). The room cleaning and turn down service was pretty basic and more than once we had to specifically track people down and request for sheets and towels to be changed on a regular basis despite making it very obvious that these were used.
"Great Location - Smallest "family room" we stayed in during our travels in France and Belgium"
18th December 2012, ILoveLouSee, Westminster, Maryland, USA
Location is great - 5 minute walk from train station, very close to food, 5 minute walk to Grand Place and other dining/shopping options. The hotel was fine but unremarkable. For a family of 4, we had a small room (even by European standards and it was the most expensive - we had a huge room in Paris for less money). The fold out couch was actually 2 separate twin beds which made me nervous with our little one - to potentially fall in-between the beds and their metal fittings. We had to move furniture to make room to flip the beds out - which was difficult because there really wasn't much room to work with. The bathroom was small but nice. Only complaint - it had frosted glass doors, so the light poured into the sleeping area whenever someone was in the bathroom. Just a logistical consideration when traveling with kids who wake up easily.Lastly, and very disappointed - we stored some keepsakes on top of their refrigerator area (where the coffee selection was kept). The night before our departure, as we were packing, we found all of our chocolate gifts melted (presumably from a hotspot on the fridge). Management did reimburse us for the actual cost of the chocolate.I would stay at this hotel again, but would likely enjoy a room intended for 2 people (which is what this room seemed to be).
"VERY CENTRAL LOCATION"
9th December 2012, nicosia
The location is excellent very central AND YET SAFE AND NOT VERY NOISY.The Hotel is a standard NOVOTEL .The BREAKFAST HOWEVER IS OF LOW QUALITY.You pay 23 EURO for a miserable type of scramble eggs iced cold frout salad etc etc ........they do not cook or prepare it in house BUT IT IS FROM SOME CATERING SERVICE OF THE LOWEST STANDARD.
"Novotel BRussels Grand Place"
10th November 2012, StuartH90, Reading
a convenient hotel located right in the centtre of Brussels, close to Central station and the Square conferenece centre. Clean and well appointed (but no pool) but breakfast seems pretty expensive for what it is...
"Excellent Choice"
7th November 2012, Cairo, Egypt
The Hotel cannot be better for a smart location, walking distance from everything, Center Station, Shopping, Grand Place, restaurants, Staff extremely helpful, Breakfast excellent with smart Manager, flexible time for vacation. I would definetly go again next time.
"Great location"
27th October 2012, BigBriKesgrave, Kesgrave
Ideal location close to the Grand Place and underground station just behind so can explore Brussels further if you wish. Good value except for the breakfast which is standard fare without anything special and not worth the price.
"Return to Brussels"
24th October 2012, Bobaparis, St. Petersburg, Florida, USA
Comfortable room; great location; helpful staff (although we had fairly little contact with - or need for them.) Location is great, but on a very busy piazza, which seemed to be alive - and noisy - practically all nite long. Small complaint tho; overall, very satisfied. Suggestion: Their breakfasts are €23.00 per person. We got very satisfactory breakfasts across the square for €3.50 each.
"Excellent location"
2nd October 2012, nixsingh, Luxembourg City, Luxembourg
While I was a bit wary of the Novotel hotel location (being right in the center of the city) the hotel was not noisy, very clean and easily accessible. The receptionist DID give me wrong information about the trains schedule to Luxembourg, but the stay was pleasant enough for me to not mind that.Definitely a hotel I will stay at on my next trip to Bruxells
"Excellent location, shame about the tourists!"
16th August 2012, DAndersonS, Manchester, United Kingdom
Excellent location only 150m from city centre. Very busy due to festival in town square, also noisy until midnight (I'm obviously showing my age!). For younger people, who are out until late, the hotel is ideally situated, lots of eating and drinking places nearby. Hotel is very clean, modern and secure. The rooms are well equipped with good TV and mp3 player with all the usual connections for laptop, iphone, etc., compact but very good shower room and seperate WC and good views (from our room on 6th floor). Good breakfast to keep you going all day. On the whole a very pleasant stay.
"Excellent location. great value for money"
12th August 2012, adereth1, Tel Aviv, Israel
The hotel is located in the best location in Brussels, just 2 minutes walk from the Grand Place. Reading previous reviews i was concerned in regards with the noise from the busy street, however the room located on the 3rd floor towards Rue Infante Isabelle was quiet. The staff was friendly, the room and the beds were comfortable and the overall experience was very satisfying.
"Good central spot"
29th July 2012, Blane0, Chipping Ongar, United Kingdom
If you want o explore Brussels this is a great place to stay and just around the corner from the Grand Place and near to the open top bus tour stop, just behind the IBIS and Novotel. Sit and enjoy coffee, chocolate and a friendly welcome from the staff.
