"Novotel far exceeds expectations"

After stays in Novotel St Pancras, Sofitel Budapest and MGallery in Amsterdam, we arrived at this Novotel with not too high expectations. And we were so wrong. The location is just perfect. Reception was precisely what I wish we got at the end of every trip, with no demands for my credit card before I get in the door. No nonsense about secret codes to access WiFi in our room, either. And what a great room, with enough space for two cases to be open at the same time on the floor, a separate WC from both bedroom and bathroom, a bath and a separate shower, windows that open. This is a really nice hotel.

Nice modern hotel, in great location. Like'd the sound system in the room, which I could plug my ipod into. Also pleaseant surprise to beable to connect to the wi-fi straight away.

We really loved being right in the middle of everything in Brussels. The hotel was just a block from the Grand Place and steps away from the gorgeous Gallerie de Saint-Hubert. The staff was available for our every question and need, from sending up extra towels within minutes of the request to finding us the best route to our day's destination. Everything was clean, nights were quiet, and our view - over a quaint shopping alley - was delightful. We had fun just throwing open the window and people-watching. I would highly recommend the Novotel Brussels Grand Place. I just hope we get to stay there again.

If you arrive at Brussels directly to the Central Station, this hotel should one at your list. Just walk to the Grand Place exit, and the hotel is less than 2 minutes walk from this station. As any Novotel, you´ll experience a modern hotel with all the average amenities. The room was ok, with nothing to note, except some noisy refurbishment works somewhere at the hotel that started at 7:30 in the morning... The wifi access is paid at the room, but free at the lobby - the reception desk guy was always kind giving 24h access to all of my devices (computer, ipad and mobile!) and when it expired he gave a new one - don´t expect a lot of speed but, it´s free anyway! Due to the location you´ll find plenty of restaurants for all your meals - and don´t miss the couple of "estaminets" quite close to the hotel, that really deserve a visit for your Belgium beer experience - shops and transports. I didn´t experienced the breakfast at the hotel (23€), but it looked interesting, but you may get 10€´s alternative around. If you get a good rate for the hotel (as I did) don´t think twice. The location is really a plus, even if you need to go the European Comission offices, as they are just 3 subway stations away. To the airport there is a 20minute train ride just around the corner.

I have stayed at the hotel many times. The room was better than I usually have (thanks to PA) - in addition to usual comfortable bed, there was a Bose MP3 dock and a 'capsule' coffee maker. Good wi fi. Room service took a bit longer than it should have. The noise of rubbish collection in the streets in the early hours is a Brussels problem, and always annoying. Work on refurbishing a room near mine started a bit earlier in the morning than I would have wished. But, the hotel is comfortable and well situated.

The Novotel is 3 minutes walk from the Central Station. Just close enough to the Grande Place (5 minutes) so you can enjoy the full tourist experience and many restaurants. But not noisy. The hotel is clean, fresh and crisp - applies to service, rooms, public areas. Perfect comfort, smart, efficient and friendly service. Good internet. Thoroughly recommended on all criteria.

Very impressed with the quality of the hotel, great location, fab black out curtains, especially with young kids and we couldn't hear the loud street band downstairs so impressed with sound proofing too. Only minor issue we had was the shower door wasn't that great as it allowed water to leak onto the bathroom floor

Ideal location for a short stay in Brussels with good quality clean rooms at a very reasonale price for a city c entre. Staff and efficient and the breakfast buffet just what you want without being fussy.

Central location, very close to Grand Place -and without the noise-. Clean and comfortable rooms, no headaches. Not tried the bar/restaurant. Hotel recommended for leisure -and for business trips as well-.

An excellent hotel with a perfect location. All the staff were friendly and professional in all respects. The room was spacios even with an extra bed. Just 20 meters to the nearest parking lot was just perfect. The price for parking was very acceptable.

I cannot say anything inappropriate about this hotel. Everything was great. If they extend the breakfast hours during weekend will be ideal. The rooms are clean and well air conditioned and the reception were always helpful and behave with warmth and smile.

The Novatel Brussels off the Grand Palis is a great place to stay not only for its location but also for the Friendly service and hospitality , I would recommend the Novatel to any traveller. The accomodation was excellent the rooms were clean and tidy and I think it was value for money considering the ideal location

Great location close to La Grand Place. Very useful to stay at if you are travelling by train, only 5 minutes walk from Brussels Centraal railway station. Can be a bit noisy outside the hotel, but that is more than offset but the close proximity to the centre of the city.

The Carpets were not clean in the room and the walkways. The lift was stinking from excessive cleaning bleach or whatever.... Rooms were noisy and no sound proofing.... all the sound from the street was heard throughout the night in the room... Some ETAP hotels were better....Bar and Restaurant had not much of food selection, Internet not fast enough...In spite of all this I paid 175 Euro for a nightNot really 4 Star.........
