« Great hotel in great location »

Hotel is new and quite small yet very clean, it has excellent and helpful staff with good english skills, breakfast is much better than in many Paris hotels and rooms are very clean with good facilities and even own fridges. The location of hotel is excellent near banks of Seine and subway is just 20m on another side of street so getting to hotel from airport is very easy with one change from airport train. I warmly recommend this hotel to anyone in need of peaceful hotel with great location.

« Graet stay centrally located »

Good, clean, efficient and reasonably priced hotel centrally located in particular for the Bercy concert hall. Was ideal for visiting the sites and attending a concert without having to travel too far. Would go back again.

« Weekend away »

Very nice hotel and room, we were on the 7th floor. Everyone from the concierge to the cleaners were very welcoming and helpful, breakfast was very good and plenty of choice. Ideal location to get the metro into the centre which is right outside, and you do not have to worry about road noise because as soon as you close the windows you cannot hear anything outside Please note there is only six parking spaces at the hotel which is very secure, especially as we took a motorcycle, but there is another car park is only around the corner Very happy with the choice we made thankyou.

« Comfortable but small room »

The location is quite good, 1 min from metro station (Quai de Gare, good for Montparnasse, not so good connections for other directions). Room was nice and clean but very small for a four star hotel. There was hardly space to separate the two small twin beds. Very good choice for breakfast.

« Nice hotel »

Well positioned with very helpful staff and up to standard Accor rooms - at a good price. Cannot comment on breakfast as it costs about 16 euros each but everything else was fine. Room quiet so had a good nights sleep.

« Great hotel! »

We could not fault this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was great and the location was so convenient with a metro stop just across the road. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

« Perfect for a weekend in Paris »

Mercure Paris Bercy Bibliotheque - the room was clean and tidy. Hot water in the shower and clean towels. Very close to Line 6 metro (Quai de la Gare). Would have been perfect if the room were a little bigger.

« Typical Mercure »

we first get a room, when ever you entered your card in the electricity switch, a high beeping sound started, which is quite annoying after 2 minutes. A look at the ceiling showed, that apparently the housekeeping tried already to fix it. After complaining at the reception, we have got a new room without any issues. Good and various breakfast. Depending on which person you drop the service varies between excellent and 'sorry to bother you, I know it is late..'

« Nice small hotel »

Nice hotel, clean, quiet & lovely breakfast. My only complaint would be that it's in a business area so there's not many restaurants near by. We had to walk back to the Gare de Lyon area to find a restaurant. Although there is a lovely patisserie next door to the hotel & a metro stop opposite the front entrance.

« Good clean hotel convenient for Austerlitz station »

Picked the hotel for an overnight stay as early start by train from Paris Austerlitz station. Good, clean and well equipped hotel with modern facilities. We were going to eat out but decided against it. Room service was with a limited choice but the excellence of the food and its moderate price more than compensated for it.

« Not recommended »

When I booked the room ( two weeks prior to by visit) there was NO mention that the hotel was undergoing some renovations. I requested twin beds, when I got to room there was one bed, when I advised reception that I booked a twin room, they sent up a staff member to make up the sofa bed. $500 to sleep in sofa bad! Not nice. Lastly, it was extremely hot and the air conditioning was nonexistent, we could open our windows if we wanted the builders to see into room and hear them work while we tried to sleep.

« Excellent Hotel for the Price »

We stayed here for 4 nights recently, the reception staff all spoke good English and the room was good. The staff at the breakfast buffet didn't speak so much English, but enough to understand what you wanted and they were all very friendly regardless. The location is a bit far from tourist attractions, but the metro stop outside goes directly to the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe and only one other change to get to most of the others. Would definitely recommend it to friends.

Lynda L, Directeur général at Mercure Paris Bercy Bibliotheque, responded to this review

Thank you for your recommandation . I share your comments with my team and we will be glad to welcome you or your friends again. We hope you had a nice trip back in australia. See you soon !

« Comfortable 3+ stars »

Good location just across the Seine from Bercy, metro station in front, good standard Mercure quality. Mercure rates most of their hotels 4 stars nowadays, but this is inflation! Very good price-quality ratio if you choose the lowest rates. Excellent hi-speed internet connection. And as usual, very pleasant staff!

Lynda L, Directeur général at Mercure Paris Bercy Bibliotheque, responded to this review

We thank you a lot for your comments. It is always a good pleasure to welcome you !

« Great Paris experience »

Excellent location with access to Metro, BnF, and many other attractions! Brilliant bakery and brasserie within steps... Located steps from the Seine, this hotel combines modern amenities and classic service in a typically European fashion

« Nice so long as it's not the week end »

Very courteous staff, eager to please. Where it all falls down is when there is something wrong with the room on night 2 (Light bulb out, TV implodes, and safe blocked from use). At least Wifi worked!

« Rude Staff »

Pros: Neat, clean room, tastefully decorated and pleasant. Metro stop #6 line stops right in front of the hotel; very convenient. That was the extent of the positives. Cons: No electrical outlet in bathroom. Major drawback. Cannot see to style hair with.Outlet at desk in main room has no mirror. Very awkward and frustrating getting ready when you can't see what you are doing. Even the manager appeared surprised not to find an electrical outlet in the bathroom when she looked. Outlet blew on first day using my Chi Iron. The force of the shock and smoke in room disconcerting. Had to re-call the front desk for assistance twice after two hours who claimed I had electricity; but she never came to the room!. Manager (heavyset, blond woman with hair in bun), finally came to my room in an angry manner. Stated I had the wrong plugs. I had purchased the World Wide International set from Apple. She plugged in my electric rollers and blew them out. Lost all my hair appliances on the first day. She spoke badly to the cleaning staff about me in my presence; very unprofessional and rude. Unable to purchase replacement electric rollers in Paris - they don't exist. Upset at losing my Chi iron; resorted to purchasing styling brush in Paris. Cleaning staff: Good, but cleaned the rooms far too late in the day between 2-3pm. Staff got angry when I returned at 2:30. When you have been out since 9am, not being able to get back into your room at 3pm is a bit much. I preferred my room not be made up just so I could use it. This angered the staff, who made derogatory comments and slammed the doors. Construction ongoing at the hotel. Pneumatic equipment noise began at 7am. Sleep unobtainable. Forced to leave room early. Prior to booking in the USA, had requested a room on the 6th or a high floor. Given a room at the back on the third floor. I stayed in this hotel deliberately at the recommendation of my family to be within walking distance to Pitie Salpatriere hospital where my sister was recovering from brain surgery. Will be revisiting my sister later on in the year, but will not stay in this hotel again which is in the vicinity of where my sister's apartment is. I will stay on Rue Jenner. Do not recommend this hotel. Very uncomfortable with the rude staff. No reason whatsoever to put up with that kind of behavior.
