"Bad Interior- aging furniture"

Aging furnture and carpet, although it is clear but look old. especially the bathroom the side panel of the washing basin is corrosed and peel off from panel and the side light between electric plating came off the lamp. No water boiler, no refrigerator

This was a precruise stay for 1 night. We arrived late around 11 pm and as suggested by concerce person booked shuttle for 11 am next morning to cruise port. We were let down by the concerice when we came down 16 minutes before time for the shuttle, saying the shuttle was already full and that he would try to get us on the next shuttle. Eventually after some bother, we arrived after 1.30pm to cruise peir. The hotel itself is good with small-medium rooms which at around $280 per night 9s pricey !Apology or sorry is not inthe vocablary of concercise / hotel staff !!!

Great hotel to stay in; only less than excellent evaluation would be the location, which is perfect for travelers at the airport, but perhaps less perfect for people wishing to stay in Miami for some time, because of distance from the the center of the city or the beaches.One slight recommendation to the management of Sofitel--a not very expensive improvement would be bars in the showers for elderly visitors.
"Excelent choice in Miami"

This hotel is near the airport, but still an excelent choice if you have a car, since you can be in Miami Beach in 14 minutes. We prefer staying at a 5 star hotel for the same price as a 3 star in Miami Beach. You will also be near the Dolphin Mall and the highways (e.g. to Fort Lauderdale). The parking in only U$9 by day, and you can use as many times you want during the 24h period. Believe me, it is an excellent price im Miami. We only missed the mini bar in our room.

Sofitel is always our best hotel option in Miami. We had a wonderful time there again. I also would like to say thank you to Natalie from her fantastic courtesy on our check in and check ourt.

Only 15 min from Miami Beach. Very good service and comfort. Food and drinks are great but a little bit expensive.

The Sofitel-Miami is a wonderfu hotel, the only thing that would make it better for us if it was located on the beach. It is nicely located, close to South Beach and all the shopping one desires. If you are coming for leisure or business I would reocmmend the Sofitel.
"Not up to Sofitel standards"

This does not stand close to the Sofitel in Sydney or Melbourne which are in a whole other league. This should be renamed because as a guest I expect it to be to the Sofitel standard. This is more Ibis. Rooms are so noisy. The plumbing in the neighboring rooms woke me up more than once. Beds are too firm. Room was sticky - I guess the aircon could not keep up. Rooms were very dated and so is the hotel. The restaurant decor should be seen to be believed - its just from another era. On the up side, shuttle to the airport was really handy. Also the staff were pretty helpful, although they had no idea what a Platinum Accor card was.

We frequently stay at this hotel when visiting friends & relatives in Miami. We enjoy a little taste of France here in the US at this hotel. Service is always top-notch and many staff members are kind enough to remember our names. We especially enjoy dining in the Riviera restaurant on the property.

This hotel is comfortable and relaxing. The service is excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. The french toast at breakfast is fantastic. We look forward to staying here again.If you are looking to ride the airport shuttle bus it runs on the departures level of the terminal.

Have stayed at this Sofitel a couple of times before and have never written a review about it. This time, after our 3 night stay, we feel we must. It is by far the friendliest and most helpful hotel we have ever stayed in. Nowhere else will they make you feel as important as here. From the moment you approach the front door and someone moves quickly to open it for you, to the time they open it for you to leave, it is an experience of European courtesy and service. Just about everything was as good as expected from such a hotel, and our only complaint is the lack of free wifi in the rooms and/or public areas. They do however provide 4 free use PCs with internet facilities near the bar, but whenever we tried to use them, one was out of service and the others were in use. No real problem as there are many places outside the hotel providing free wifi facilities. We will certainly be back again next year.

I've been staying at the Sofitel since the mid '90s and make it a point to stay there every time I travel thru Miami on international trips. Airport shuttle is like clockwork and staff is always welcoming and helpful. Whenever possible, I like to extend my stay a night or two just because it's such a relaxing and beautiful place and makes transitioning in and out of the country more tolerable. Great cuban food and shopping just around the corner make it even better.
