"Stay at Novotel"

Stayed with friends for 4 nights and had a great time. Hotel staff were very helpful and accommodating to say the least. Would definitely recommend hotel to anyone planning to visit Athens. Because taxi's are cheap, the distance from centre is not an issue, albeit a walk to one of the main squares in the city is certainly not arduous.

"Good price."

The hotel is nice and clean. Would be a great hotel if it was placed somewhere else. The free internet corner and wi-fi was a big plus. The air conditioner made a small annoying noise but I choose to turn it off as the weather in Athens was not that cold and the room was worm enough to sleep worm and well. Nice stay.

"It's ok..."

Surroundings of hotel did not look safe. No restaurants around hotel. Ate in hotel restaurant which was not good. Menu had 'Salmon in saffron sauce and basmati rice'. We got the salmon in a yellow sauce that was not saffron, and rice that was not basmati rice. We would have appreciated being informed if the food would not match the description. Anyway it did not taste good.Hotel room itself is small but clean. Good for free and safe parking of cars indoors.

initial directions made the Hotel hard to find. Asked local Police for location, but did not seem to know where it was. The hotel is very good, reception staff very helpful, had problem with air-conditioning,but an engineer arrived to fix it( evening time). Good location for the Archeological Museum, and rail/metro links to city centre ,Piraeus and the Airport

"Good Choice"

The only surprises were pleasant. Breakfast provided a large selection. Room was compact but ample. Wi-fi worked with no problems, although I found it more convenient to plug in rather than use the wi-fi. People were friendly and helpful. We found the metro easy to use and the opportunity to walk a few blocks to Larissa station was fine.

"Accor Quality"

This is a good hotel with the well known accor standar of quality! The room is small, but nice, answering to our expectations and needs. The only problem is the location in a neighbourhood that is not really safe to be walking around at night. The service was good and they helped us with all our needs. Would stay there again... Ahhhh... Also great view of the acropolis from the terrace.

"Two day stay!"

The Novotel at Athens was a very clean,modern beautiful hotel! It had a lovely rooftop swimming pool and rooftop bar/restaurant. We ate at both restaurants and the food was excellent. We also had buffet breakfast which had a wide range to cater for all tastes.The location of the hotel was a 15 min walk to city centre.

"Holiday in Athens"

It's very good hotel to stay. The room and the bathroom is always clean. The bed & pillow is very comfortable to sleep. The International buffet breakfast is well balanced and healthy. Except the location is kind of scary especially when you go out at night.

"Good value hotel in downmarket area"

Nice hotel with the usual high standard Accor service. Only drawback was the pool which was full of unsupervised children making a noisy nuisance of themselves. The hotel should do more to stop children's horseplay in the pool as it renders it off-limits to child-free adult guests.

"Dinner looking at the Acropolis at the rooftop restaurant"

Excellent short stay staff very pleasant and helpful, evening meal was great. We had three rooms all were equally as good. The service by the pool staff was second to none and the big guy was most helpful.

"Nice place - Bad neighbourhood"

Currently backpacking around the world and paid a little extra for the Novotel to ensure we had accommodation on arrival to Athens - if you book well in advance you can get 50% off the room rate!The neighbourhood was horrible! There is nowhere to eat dinner close by that we could find, and the hotel restaurant was totally overpriced. The area is very suspect at night, and we did not feel safe to venture out. On the plus side there is a good gyros place at the end of the street. In regards to sites, it is close to the Archeological Museum but that is it! You will need to use public transport or walk long distances to see the rest.The room was quite pleasant, however the pillows on the bed really need to be changed and the airconditioner did not work. We requested this to be fixed but it never was.

"Usual reliable value"

I find that using Accor Group hotels is a guaranteed way to know that you will get a good deal and good service. Amused to find that the corridor carpets were the same as in Glasgow Novotel!Free underground parking a bonus and so is the roof top pool and bar with a great view of the Acropolis
