"Very conveniently situated"

My wife and I had to stay one night in Cologne on our way to Bonn. We decided to stay in this hotel due to its location at the Cologne Hbf. We were indeed pleasantly surprised when we discovered that the hotel is actually connected to the station and located right next to a Starbucks.Our room had a lovely view of the Cologne Dom. The service at reception was very friendly and efficient and our room was spotless. We did not have breakfast at the hotel as we decided to go for breakfast at the nextdoor Starbucks. We were also very pleased to discover that the automated luggage storage facility is located right in front of the hotel, so it was pretty convenient to check out in the morning and leave our luggage at the station until the evening.Overall an excellent hotel, offering real value for money. We will definitely stay there again.
"Great view of the cathedral"

This hotel is the only one to stay at in the centre of Cologne. It is excellent, it is in the train station complex but you never hear a train! Rooms looks out into the Plaza with the spectacular cathedral looking down on you. The staff are very helpful and we are so impressed we have booked in again next year!!!!

Can't beat the place for location. actually inside the main station. it's so nice to step off your train, straight into the hotel.Typical, Ibis hotel, nice n clean if a little basic but it does the job and the price is good for where it is.

This is probably the best Ibis Hotel I have been to in Germany. Front desk staff remembered me by name from my previous visit. Great, almost unbeatable central location in Cologne with easy access to the city and literally adjacent to the main railway station. Rooms generally have a smashing view of the Dom. Highly recommended.

stayed at Ibis for trade fair. Extremely pleasant and helpful staff, good breakfast, comfortable and quiet rooms, despite being near the Dom Cathedral and the railroad.Short walk into shopping district, and the old city. Museum and theather near by. Many choices for restaurants around the hotel. Very convient to Messe for trade fair as its one stop on the S train.
"Room with a view"

This is a great and inexpensive hotel right next to the Dom and at the main railway station (Hauptbahnhof). Fabulous views of the Dom (especially at night when it is all lit up) and absolutely no noise from the trains, not even vibrations. Rooms are sufficiently spacious, well-maintained and spotless. Front desk staff was very helpful.

If you are looking for a reasonable priced, well located hotel in this city, this might be for you. Actually located "in" the central train station, and on the platz of the Dome cathedral, it is good for train travelers that want to hit the main sites in Koeln. Only distraction was the police were called in to take care of some rowdy guest, but it was taken care of quickly and not heard from again.

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night. Since we were two adults and two kids, we had to book two rooms, but the price was good for two room. Even though we were able to get two rooms next to each other, I wish they had connected rooms.The biggest plus points:- location, location, location, it is right in the train station, you don't even have to go out of the station !- very clean room with good basic amenities- For 10euro for adults and 5 for kids, breakfast was a good deal (even though there is a starbucks right below the hotel, I thought that for that price, it beats starbucks )- Our rooms were in the front of the hotel, very quiet, and can't beat the view of the cathedral right from the room window !- car rental (avis/europa/sixt) are right next to the hotel lobbyOverall, if I am coming into Cologne next time by train, I will definitely stay here.

This is a perfect location. Literally IN the train station (well, outside, but there is an entrance from the train station into the hotel). Right beside the cathedral and very close walk to everything. They were doing construction on the room beside us and there was a little construction dust/small debris on our bathroom counter and floor. Otherwise, it was a perfect stay.

The information from the on-line booking is not transmitted to the hotel so, on arrival this has all to be filled out again, just because someone is to lazy to forward particulars as is normal.Rooms and bathroom can only be described as micro. The rooms were noisy.

I am a silver a-club memeber and I have always had a pleasent saty with all the accor chain. The only suggestion for the above hotel I have is the size of the rooms. Rest my rating says it all.Compared to Starwood and Carlson, Accor holds the upper hand.Nothing comapres Accor in the Europe.

We are happy with this hotel. Got the pretty good rate for this by booking earlier. Location is great, in the main station Koeln Hbf and the Dom is just outside your hotel with all the shopping areas around it. Will definitely stay here again if come back to Cologne.
