"Wouldn't help us"

Quite a walk from Metro and well out of centre.Quality of the Hotel itself up to the normal Novotel standards with secure parking although it is quite costly.The staff were not particularly helpful when we discovered that there was a double bed and double sofa bed, unlike all the other Novotels we have used for us and our teenage son & daughter where it has been two single sofa beds. They would not offer us a change of room and wanted us to pay double for a suite which then became unavailable when we tried to haggle a price. Our Son is 16 and daughter 12 so not really suitable for two doubles in a room but they weren't interested. Whilst we are to blame in not having confirmed the two singles beforehand and assuming all the Novotels are the same, I was not impressed with the lack of assistance and the attitude of the reception staff.Lesson learnt for us to make sure the room is what you want and don't assume.

With 4 stars hotel ,they offer plastic cups for bath room and for tea /coffee drinks in room,no bath cap, no proper wardrobe. for one or two nights stay is O.K.the room is very small ,no spaces. hardly can put up a big suitcase with a handl carry.Reception,should have a Bus time table, should give correct information. there are buses didn't run at the period of summer holiday.I had been visited Novetel hotel more than 14 times ,I still holding a black club card , when I am upgrade to silver club card .Thank you for reading my review
"good stopover"

we have stayed in novotels as stop overs for many years and have stayed here before. its location for a stop over is excellent and on the whole everything was good as usual. couple of minor problems though. Novotels own section of the car park was closed with a note at the enterance saying full please use car park reserved for TNT which shared the same underground space. not sure if this was locked at night and was a little concerned to leave my car as have had grifitti problems elsewhere in France, it was ok as it turned out though. Novotel square pillows are uncomfortable and no one approched us in the resaturant at breakfast to see if we wanted hot drinks and after 10 minutes of trying to attract a waiters attention we gave up as time was tight for us.

Friendly / helpful a good place to stop for an overnight stay. Very clean and tidy. Long walk into town (40 minutes) but enjoyable and peaceful after a long car journey.have used this hotel before and would do so again

We particularly enjoyed the pool and the restaurant service beside the pool. If you drive in, continue up the driveway; don't be deterred by the impregnable look. It's an easy taxi ride to the old part of the city.
