ibis Saint Malo La Madeleine: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Well worth a visit"

9th February 2012, Derby, United Kingdom

Arrived after 10pm. Still offered us a meal in the restaurant or a range of good quality bar snacks. very friendly staff and good english spoken.a good base for exploring St Malo for a few days or as a late night stop over from a flight into Dinard Airport only 6 miles away.situated on the edge of St. Malo in a commerial estate area. 5 min drive or easy taxi trip to the walled city.

ibis Saint Malo La Madeleine: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Hotel in a retail park"

3rd September 2011, Wellingborough

The Ibis at La Madelaine near St. Malo is a sensible place to stay if you are on your way to the ferry or visiting the town itself. Our sat nav had a bit of an issue getting us there because it thought there ought to be roads where there are now buildings because hte outlets in the retail park have increased dramatically since we were last there. However, this also had its compensations because if your enjoy retail therapy "comme les francais" you will have ample opportunity to indulge in the sores and the commercial centre round about. The hotel has a very helpful map of the area and is not just centered on St. Malo itself, although the help about the city was first class also. The desk staff were extremely helpful and had excellent English, though, as we prefer to speak French when in France, this could also be a bit annoying. Breakfast was plentiful with an excellent range of breads but the coffee was not what you expect in France as it came from a machine and tasted fairly awful. The room itself was spotlessly clean with excellent storage facilities for luggage and clothes but don't expect to wrap yourself in the towels: one per guest and unless you are Twiggy, impossible to wrap around yourself.Nevertheless, this hotel is sound value for money and comfortable with good staff.

ibis Saint Malo La Madeleine: 5.0 out of 5 stars "GoodTop budget hotel"

3rd September 2011, Newcastle Upon Tyne

My wife and I have been holidaying in france for the past seven years and we always stay here the night before we get the ferry home. The hotel is very clean and well ran. the only thing I could find to fault with is the very small baths.

ibis Saint Malo La Madeleine: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Nice Stay"

1st September 2011, Hamburg

The location is very good if you have a car and stay only for few days. The staff was very friendly and able to speak in English( not very common in France) . The breakfast buffet was constinously refurbished. Rates acceptable considering the location.

ibis Saint Malo La Madeleine: 2.0 out of 5 stars "IBIS ST Malo ..La Madeleine"

14th July 2011, St Peter Port

First given room that was already in use. Then moved to room with adjoing door which meant that you could hear every movement, every word and every bodily function of occupants in the next room.Room near to reception ... noise from staff and other guests until 0300am ... impossible to sleep.Have stayed at this hotel before and have always been satisfied but avoid rooms with adjoining doors. At 86.00 Euros per night is is not good value compared vwith other Ibis hotels

ibis Saint Malo La Madeleine: 4.0 out of 5 stars "St Malo Accor"

2nd July 2011, Milton Keynes

We were impressed with the helpfulness of the staff particularly in the restaurant. They also prevented a flat battery on my car by notifying me that my lights were left on for several hours. The position of the hotel is ideal in terms of the short drive to the ferry terminal

ibis Saint Malo La Madeleine: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Hotel stay"

23rd June 2011, Jersey

Great hotel but could do with tea and coffee making in room also an extra pillow on bed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We did not have breakfast as I was unwell nothing to do with hotel just the journey I had taken beforehand. The location was fabulous lots of good shops. Would definatelty stay again and recommend to friends.

ibis Saint Malo La Madeleine: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Very comfortable hotel"

ibis Saint Malo La Madeleine: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Comments on the hotel"

7th June 2011, Dronfield

A very well run pleasant little hotel ideally situated on the outskirts of St. Malo. The manager is very helpful as are all the staff. This hotel is a credit to the Accor Group, I wish there were more like it.

ibis Saint Malo La Madeleine: 4.0 out of 5 stars "IBIS St MALO La Madelaine"

1st June 2011, pinger123, Mauchline

Perfect location for overnight stay prior to a daytime ferry crossing. Conveniently just off the main road into St Malo and near to a reasonable shopping centre with a Carrefour Supermarket. Stayed many times before, staff excellent service good and although a little pricy for what you get the restaurant is fine. Rooms basic but satisfactory for our needs.

ibis Saint Malo La Madeleine: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Excellent value for money"

18th May 2011, Bury St Edmunds

I have no complaints about the hotel whatever. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only negative is the location. It wasn't signposted well and it took ages to find. The other Ibis in St Malo IS signposted and we went there first - so a bit confusing (it's probably just me!) but the hotel was absolutely fine.

ibis Saint Malo La Madeleine: 4.0 out of 5 stars "A nice and convenient starting point"

12th May 2011, Brussels

A convenient and a good value-for-money hotel for people who travel by car. Standard IBIS environment/rooms/service. The free parking is definitely a plus. One can use the hotel as a starting point to explore Saint Malo old town (less than 10 minutes by car), Mont Saint Michel, etc.

ibis Saint Malo La Madeleine: 5.0 out of 5 stars "One night stand!"

10th May 2011, Banstead

We only stayed for one night as we were due to catch the Portsmouth Ferry at 09.30 am. We were very pleased with the hotel in general. It was very clean and fresh and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Although it was on the edge of a retail park on the outskirts of St Malo it had a bar and restaurant and didn't take long to get to the Ferry Terminal. We would stay there again without doubt.

ibis Saint Malo La Madeleine: 4.0 out of 5 stars "misfortune"

2nd May 2011, st peter port

The hotel was fully booked during our stay.. (tourists busses). One of the two rooms we booked (to be together as a family) was unfortunately used by somebody that had ignored the no smoking policy and was impossible to be used. The hotel staff was friendly and tried their best, but we had to accept to be split up on different floors.. which meant we both had to take one of our children...Not ideal.. but not really something to hold against the staff/hotel.

ibis Saint Malo La Madeleine: 4.0 out of 5 stars "St Malo ferry stop"

20th April 2011, gourge

Very convenient for the ferry to Guernsey. The hotel is clean, well staffed and friendly. Most staff are bilingual. Easy to book online. I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing an overnight no frills stay. Particularly like the tortilla at breakfast.
