"Excellent, quiet stopping point on a journey through France."

Stopped there many times en route to or from Italy. A bit hard to find the first time as it is in the country about 1km from Châlons but excellent value and really quiet.

The hotel was good value, easy to locate, clean and welcoming: plenty of car parking space but not secured with a gate. Breakfast was fine but dinner very average though the service was efficient. It really should be possible to produce higher quality food at the price charged for what is after all a captive market.

good hotel/restaurant in an ideal position for us to stay on a trip from CH to UK.On our first visit our room smelt of cigarette smoke. All rooms should be non- smoking!!On the ground in the bar area outside there were many cigarette ends left by staff and clients. No ashtrays on tables! On our return journey the restaurant was very busy with not enough staff to cope. The steaks that we both ordered were un-eatable!!

Excellent value and very practical hotel for a stop to/from UK. Bit difficult to find if you don't know the area but well worth the effort as it is out of the town, quiet and has a large car park that's ideal if you are towing something.

We ended up with 2 smoking rooms not non-smoking so that wasn't a good start. Went to the restaurant for a meal - food was poor quality and expensive. Couldn't really fault breakfast but at 9 Euros was expensive especially for a 5 year old to have small glass of orange juice and a piece of bread.

We were trvelling by car from Peschiera on Lake Garda, and had not reserved anywhere to stay the night before the last 200 miles to Calais. We were fortunate to find this hotel, where we enjoyed an evening meal, a good nights sleep, and a very good breakfast before setting off for the ferry at Calais. It was ideal for our needs.

The location for this hotel was for very good because it was out of the town. For some people it may be to isolated, but the grounds of the hotel were very good and lots of greenery. There was an area outside with tables and chairs where you could have a drink in the lovely sunshine. The room was very clean also the bathroom was very clean. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, restaraunt was also very good. I would stay at this hotel again.

This hotel is within a few minutes drive of the motorway and handyly placed for the town. Although you will still have to drive or get a taxi to the town itself.The welcome was friendly even with our broken French(for that read minimal) the receptionist was helpfull and the rooms were clean with fresh bed linen.The food was better than we expected and was very good for this kind of hotel.The 2 small patio areas could have been made into better features for out door dining or drinking.

quality of room very good-comfy large bed, well fitted bathroom-but food poor. need more variety for evening meal. i had to ask for mine to be reheated(it was stir fry chicken)-missed excellent buffets at campaniles. Breakfast very good
