"Simple, good price & location, hard bed"

Uncomfortable bed. Be sure to ask for alternate covers-which we did for the 2nd night.The first ones were too heavy. Small room. Very clean. Good location to historical sites for walkers.Found a parking place on the street which saved garage parking fee.Nice view on the river from the breakfast room.The recommended restaurants in town were both closed. No area literature in English available at the hotel. Although English channels were listed for the tv, none worked. No German channels either and my French is minimal. Simple, OK to stay on the cheap if you're not sensitive about your bed.

We found exactly what we were expecting. It was very good value for the money especially because we got a 15 euros discount (winter rates) and a low price due to the fact that we spent a night in the week-end. We appreciated the comfort of the beds, the calm and the free wifi in the room. The restaurant does not look very warm but it was OK for a simple meal. (There are good restaurants on walking distance from the hotel). The location close to the center of the town (nice walk) is perfect.

We have stayed at this hotel before whilst travelling through France. It's location is close to the motorway and easy to find. However, this year the room looked rather tired as though it needed updating. The bathroom had a strange smell, that I would associate with a monkey cage at a zoo. The cleaner had obviously never been taught to clean in the corners, as there was a very large build up of dirt on the floors. We had to pay 5.00 euros this time for the underground parking, but at least the car is safer there than leaving it on the street. We paid in advance for breakfast, but even this looked sad and tired this time. I wouldn't bother having the breakfast again. It is not value for money, unless you can eat at least 10 croissants. The staff are all very nice and friendly, and there's free wi-fi.

Very good location in a quiet residential area and pretty easy to find. Underground, secure parking was good though it was a short walk from the hotel- there is no car park on the hotel site. Our first visit to Metz and we stopped off here for only 1 night as were driving down to Venice and Florence. The town was lovely with a lovely Cathederal, market square, small shops, good bars and cafes and a facinating indoor market selling a huge range of fresh meats and vegatables. The hotel is in an ideal location being only a short (5 mins) walk from the centre. Good value Ibis as usual and staff very pleasant.

The location of this hotel is ideal for exploring Metz as it is within easy walking distance of the sights, shops and restaurants. Check-in and out was painless, but the number of staff seemed thin on the ground with reception staff manning the bar as well. Our room was clean and tidy and typical of any Ibis room, but like many hotels on the continent there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. I had a mishap with my penknife and managed to get blood on the sheets and towels, which were changed without fuss. We took our breakfast on the small terrace outside over looking the Moselle river. The breakfast selection was good, but it took a while for items to be replenished after they had run out. Be aware, if driving there, parking space is limited. Would I stay there again? YES!
