I arrived at the hotel and checked in at about 8.30 and went down to the bar to have a drink before deciding to have a bite to eat. I had a look on the laminated document in the room which stated dinner was served until 9.30pm so had time to have a drink first. One of the staff members mentioned that the kitchen was closed and they had stopped serving food and with that no resolution of getting any kind of food. I therefore placed an order on deliveroo for some food. Having placed my food order I was very surprised as a couple of other guests arrived at the bar and proceeded to order drinks and food. I heard one of the team members at the bar said the kitchen was closed and thought nothing of it. How surprised was I when not 1 but 2 meals came out of the kitchen followed by a couple of desserts ice cream and a hot pudding that seem to have been just given away to a group of guys playing pool. Not too sure why I was turned away and other guests given preferential treatment with other plates of food brought out for others It's a shame as I will no doubt feedback to our company expenses regarding the experience and the hotel as it isn't what I expected of a hotel. I was due back in Coventry in a couple of weeks for a week stay and I will definitely be taking my companies business elsewhere following this treatment

Motor running near room first night. Could not sleep. Asked to change no room that night. Moved in morning. Slept well. Food very average and expensive for the standard. Last night could hear shouting banging doors for half hour. No sleep that night either. Good point. Staff very good and pleasant.

I came from London for a two night stay - I have been at this particular hotel many times and have always found it a great comfortable place to be. For some reason the WiFi was quite poor in my room (ground floor).

Bad stay

Staff at start was lovely. Only stayed one night and we were out for most of the day. Got back late and bed sheets smelt horrible and door did not lock! I have toddlers who were asleep so couldn’t really get them up to ask and change for a room. Complained in morning and the person at reception was awful. Didn’t even ask how the stay was, didn’t say morning..just about said sorry (with a funny expression). Nothing more. Even challenged about the door rather than accepting the feedback!
