"Great deal for hotel next to my conference location"

I stayed at this hotel as it was next to ENS, a conference venue. It is not walking distance to Old Lyon and the tourist areas. The room had a bit of a look of a dorm room, but was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. There was a lot of choice for breakfast, but many us on on a package deal for the conference were confused as to whether we got breakfast in our price or had to pay extra. There was a good range of restaurants and bakeries within a few minutes walk, and a Metro station less than five minutes walk. The staff were very helpful and spoke good English. It was an excellent "inexpensive" hotel if you want to stay in that area.

The room was basic but clean. En Suite facilities good. The main room lacked a comfy armchair, and the writing space was not very practical. No tea/coffee-making facilities. Also, Wi-fi signal was excellent in the lobby and corridors, but not in my room.

We found the hotel to be a very fine place to stay, clean and convenient. Foremost, the staff was very friendly and helpful. With our limited French, they were all patient and pleasant. The location was great for walking to a relative's place and walking to the metro to get around Lyon.
