Novotel Dijon Sud: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Price is the issue"

25th February 2012, London, United Kingdom

Have stayed at this Novotel before, it is a welcome stopover on the return from skiing. Generally satisfied with the hotel overall. But do not understand why the room (same as previous stays) was approximately 30% more expensive than last year! Upon checking out I head another family who had the same type of room as us paid what I paid last year.I can only assume that it was to do with the timing of the booking, but I did book about two and half months in advance. So quibble about the price everything else very good .

Novotel Dijon Sud: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Annual Skiing Trip"

23rd February 2012, Epsom, United Kingdom

Each year we stay at the same hotel on route to the French Alps for our family skiing trip as it is close to the toll road so easy to find. The room is lovely, we always sleep well and the food in the restaurant is delicious. The staff are polite and helpful and whilst the the hotel is modern it is decorated and furnished well and has a comfortable feel about it. The only negative I can think of is the pictures in the bedrooms which can only be described as wierd. Also if there were more English channels on the TV that would please the kids more.

Novotel Dijon Sud: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Novotel c'est plus sur!!!"

7th February 2012, The Hague, The Netherlands

Novotel never generates ugly surprises, on the contrary, one always knows what one gets. All hotels in the world are to hot, so also this hotel. Novotel could save on heating. The breakfast express for us is a masterstroke.

Novotel Dijon Sud: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Novotel Dijon Sud"

6th July 2011, London

Nice Hotel but long walk to some rooms. Convenient to shopping centre for fuel etc. Would use again. Food was good quality. Room was comfortable but one side of bed is very near wall of bathroom which makes it difficult to access the bed from the side with ease. No doubt due to large sofa bed in room. Good Teac and Coffee facility plus fridge.

Novotel Dijon Sud: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good service, poor breakfast"

20th June 2011, Amsterdam

The hotel is not that close to the motorway, but the staff are very welcoming, especially the reception and restaurant waitress. There is secure parking - very useful if you have a full car. Room was well maintained, we had a ground floor room. Dinner was very good, and service was excellent. The only criticism we had here is that the breakfast next day was dire. It looked like an international breakfast, with pancakes and syrup, muffins etc, but the essentials were not good in our opinion. Lukewarm, weak coffee, cold rubbery scrambled eggs and sausage, very overpriced for what it was. Apart from this we found it OK.

Novotel Dijon Sud: 4.0 out of 5 stars "NOVOTEL DIJON"

5th May 2011, CARDIFF

We stayed on our way back from a trip to the Alps. Usual quality and service from a Novotel. Would stay again as a stop-over. Wouldn't stay if I was planning a trip to Dijon as it isn't in the city.

Novotel Dijon Sud: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Novotel Dijon Sud - Review"

5th May 2011, Lancaster

Hotel is a fairly typical Novotel, standard room and facilities. Good bathroom and bedroom and everything clean and comfy. Only real moan was that the air-con was working but not up to the job leaving us very overheated. This seems to be common across most of the Novotels I've stayed at with only a few exceptions.Bar staff conspicious by their absence and it took ages to get served. Then they gave me the wrong wine and when this was pointed out to them they did it again. Gave up in the end and left it.Restaurant was a great disappointment. The staff were finding it difficult to find any enthusiasm for serving us and gave the distinct impression they would prefer us to be elsewhere. The menu these days seems to have a very oriental theme rather than French and not well executed either. Given the prices they charge they really should make some effort to do more than take food from the chiller and pop it in the microwave. What's happened to the old style "menu de jour" which used to be interesting, well executed and good value. After several similar experiences at Novotels recently I think we will dine out in future.
