« Fantastic, modern, clean, and welcoming »

My wife spent 5 days at the Mercure Paris Montmartre and were welcomed warmly by their staff. This hotel is located near the adorable Montmartre neighborhood and is also a block away from the Paris Metro. You can get to anywhere you need within 15 to 30 minutes by train.

« No sound insulation inbetween the rooms (2 single beds) and broken bed in supirior double »

I woke up thinking someone is urinating on my head! it was that clear the sound of the guy next door using his toilet which was above my head. I herd every little detail over the days that followed. I had booked a superior double room but after the first night of sleeping in a bed with a broken frame, I requested to change to a room with 2 single beds. The single beds were better but there was no sound insulation what so ever with the room next door, seemed like the rooms are partitioned apart using cardboard. Also I did ask to be refunded the difference between the room prices and Mercure staff refused saying the rooms are the same price (which if you are booking you know isn't true). This Mecure hotel was very disappointing, considering I've stayed in German Mercure hotels and they've been fantastic. Location is great, it's clean but there are many other hotels in this area I'd consider next time. I stayed 3 night, end of Jan 2016 paid around 460 Euros for 3 nights..

« Very Spacious by Parisian Standards »

We stayed for a 3 night break over the New Year. Lovely big room with extra large comfortable bed. Mini fridge and tea and coffee facilities were a nice touch. Excellent service from reception and the hotel was in great location. Would definitely stay their again.

« Well refurbished and great location »

I love this hotel , room are big for Paris , nice design look , all comfort you need and some of them with stunning view on the Eiffel Tower , hotel is large with good availability. The area is lively with restaurant , bar , Pigalle and Montmartre around the corner.

« Hotel could use some TLC »

The hotel itself is not bad as a monument, nice building, nice decor, comfortable bed and functioning bathroom. The annoying parts like when you go to the bedroom and there is a hole in the wall, or some red stains all over the bathroom, or the carpet in the "Privilege" room is too disgusting to walk barefoot is a bit over the top. To make it worse, the electricity went away on one of the days for almost a whole hour. A whole hour no wifi or electricity, and I was on that day working from the hotel. I called the reception to be told they are doing some tests and it will take a while, I told them how upset I am , she shrugged. That was not a professional behaviour nor was it acceptable to have a downtime of 1 hour in a hotel that charges 200 euro per night for this room. The AC was extremely weak, the room was very hot I woke up sweating even though I slept in my shorts. Checking in was a bit annoying as there was no room upgrade offered, and when I asked if I can get any complimentary use of their EasyWork spaces I was told not, even though platinum members usually get access to any executive lounge in hotels. And the refusal was given in such a rude way that quite honestly I was too disgusted to proceed with the talk. I quite honestly am considering going to the IBIS next door for my next visit if in the same area as chances are I will get a better treatment.

« Great hotel, poor room service »

Lovely room, very clean, great views and excellent location, metro links to central Paris make getting around easy. This is a great place to stay when in Paris if you're only after a room. The rooms overlook either eiffel tower or Sarcre Coeur, both views are beautiful and I suggest saving the money and going for the non-Eiffel tower view. Main foyer doesn't have a reception desk, instead staff use tablets to check you in etc.. which is great and trendy but not my preference. Breakfast is great and the bar is very funky style with good ambiance and some interesting furnature. Everything is clean and well presented, beds were lovely. Many restaurants and shops nearby too. I suggest buying water from the pop-up stalls instead of shops and cafes. Service wasn't quite as good as I'd expect given the cost of the hotel. Staff were helpful but didn't have the sort of concierge style knowledge I might expect (knowing some tips and tricks for getting around and what to see etc.). That was fine, but I agreed with room service to have some champagne delivered while we were out and they didn't deliver or try to contact me or anything. They then tried to charge me for the items when I left. The drinks in the room were marked as complimentary but I have been sent a bill after leaving (and charged automatically) for them. Also, Wi Fi isn't great unless you pay for it.

Dear PhDeano, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the Hôtel Mercure Paris Montmartre Sacre Coeur. I am sorry that your experience did not meet all your expectations; allow me to express my sincerest apologies. I regret that we did not completely satisfy you despite your positive words about the room, the breakfast and the location. I know that your stay in Paris was a very special occasion for you and I am really sorry that we did not manage to properly organize the surprise you had planned. You are right about our miscommunication issue in this case and about the fact that we should have informed you and apologized earlier. Please be assured that our bar manager and whole management team have been alerted about your feedback and that we are currently taking corrective measure to avoid any future recurrence. I would like to reiterate our commitment to high quality standards, and I really hope you will experience it during a next stay with us. Sincerely, Eric Rochedy General Manager

« Beautiful hotel, great service »

I booked one night at this hotel during my trip to Paris last week mostly in order to get the Aeroplan miles bonus points (which I don't seem to be getting), so I was pleasantly surprised to arrive in a beautiful, recently renovated hotel. As an elite member, I was given the upgraded room and some chocolates in the room plus a handwritten note by the Room Manager, very nice touches. Location is quite good, about 10 minutes walk to Place du Clichy metro station and to the famous Moulin Rouge, and really just at the edge of Montmartre. If it weren't part of Accor hotel group, I would definitely consider this hotel the next time I go to Paris.

Dear Daniel N, We are pleased to read that you enjoyed our renovations and your welcome chocolates! We are all looking forward to welcome you soon. Best regards, Eric Rochedy, General manager
