Unique boutique hotel located within walking distance of many sites in Amsterdam. Excellent customer service with very good breakfast (even for plant-based eaters). Super staff at check-in and excellent bartenders. Would definitely stay here again.

I had a great time during my stay. The hotel was located within walking distance of everywhere I needed to be/visit. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and modern. My only gripe was that the shower head was clogged with limescale. Other than that, I would recommend to anyone looking to stay in central Amsterdam.

I stayed at this hotel for a work related conference. It is conveniently located for mainline station and connection to the airport, (40 minutes 'terminal to door'), as well as City centre attractions. I would stay here for a leisure break too with the hotel offering comfortable, well appointed rooms and a decent bar & restaurant. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful.

We loved the breakfast, and Celine is a GEM. She is the reason we rated the stay an 8 instead of 7. The bathrobes and cushy slippers were also nice. And we appreciated having washcloths. We had terrible maid service during our visit. Dirty forks and cups left in the room, bed made incorrectly, hairs on the sink, washcloths repeatedly not replaced, empty tissue box not replaced, nightgown balled up and left on the windowsill. There was also a broken towel shelf in our bathroom that we had to be very careful to not tip over. We also had quite a controversy between our travel agent and the hotel - I was traveling with my mother and we were supposedly booked into a Deluxe with twin beds. However, the hotel does not have any Deluxe room with twin beds. There was lots of fingerpointing, which led to my mother and me sharing a king bed with two separate duvets. However, the first night there were apparently no spare twin duvets available, so my mother and I each had to sleep in our own individual king duvet folded over. (The staff, particularly Celine and Sophie were quite helpful during this mixup). Overall, neither my mother nor I was a fan of the "bathroom as room centerpiece." Given the design, it is impossible for someone to use the bathroom with the light on without impacting the other person in the room. Also, the placement of the magnifying mirror is ludicrous. The only way for me to use it was to sit on the sink vanity.

While we aim to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, it seems we fell short during your visit. Please be assured that this is not indicative of our usual service, as our daily housekeeping is a point of pride. The unique design of our bathrooms is part of our hotel's award-winning charm, yet we understand it may not be to everyone's taste. We take all feedback seriously and continually strive to balance design and guest comfort. Regarding the room and bedding configuration, we apologize, but as you know we had to deal with 4 agencies who booked so we agree that it was all very confusion. But happy to see that it all got sorted out. Our centrally controlled air-conditioning system aims to provide a consistent level of comfort, and we understand that the alternative of opening windows may not have been ideal given the urban soundscape of Amsterdam.
