I stayed in Novotel City Donau already few times but this time it was so far my worst experience. Not functioning sink in the room was reported 3 times to front desk and only after 3 full days someone came to repair it. Safe in the room ran short on batteries. Staff helped to open but batteries were never replaced so I could not use the safe. The rest was just fine.

room was clean and the bed was nice. The fridge did not work, we told the front desk about this. The air conditioning was not on so the room was very hot.

We had a very enjoyable 5 days in Wien at this hotel. It is walking distance from the Vorgartenstrasse on the U1, and we chose it because it is just one stop from the Prater which was our target for the 2 kids. The breakfast was delicious, with even hot food included, and even a pancake maker with lots of exotic jams and toppings. The coffee machine has some viennese specialities as well, not just boring latte and cappuccino. The air conditioning was not working, as apparently it is cold outside. Therefore, we had to keep the only window open for about 2 hours before going to sleep. The WC part of hte bathroom is tiny, almost like an airplane. The tub and shower were sufficient, but tended to cause a lot of wet floors. The staff pulled off a miracle reservation at the Cafe Imperial, with two hours notice. We are forever grateful.
