My disappointment is immeasurable and my stay was ruined!

Lies! My morning was ruined every day I stayed. I’m an early riser and like to eat my breakfast accordingly (at 4:25am to be precise). I booked this hotel on the understanding breakfast started at 4am every day, however I was shocked to discover that the hotel has decided to change the time to 7am - so be warned! Why they did this I cannot understand… all o can really say is that my disappointment is immeasurable and my stay was ruined. We warned!

We expected a French/French-like hotel, but again, after trying another hotel of the Accor family in China (Hangzhou's Mercure), a few weeks ago, we were disappointed (though not as much as in Hangzhou). As a Frenchman choosing a French hotel, you expect something that will feel a bit like home, not just the name. But Zhengzhou's IBIS didn't fulfill our expectations: staff in need of training (blocking the corridor and forcing you to wait (twice), squeezing you into the elevator, and not aware that guest expect some kind of greeting). And breakfast had NO COFFEE, and baguettes only in plastic or depicted on the wall. Nothing to satisfy international guests, let alone French guests. Other than that the rooms are quite fine, since the hotel is new but located on a road with a lot of construction that can be noisy.
