We spent five nights at the hotel on a half board basis and loved every minute. From the moment we arrived to the time that we left the staff were helpful, welcoming and warm. We were greeted on our arrival by Matt who provided us with really helpful information. We travelled as a family of four with two children aged 7 and 11. Although the resort does attract a lot of couples, I felt that there was plenty to entertain us all. There are three pools, one of which is for adults only, but there is plenty of sun loungers and space for everyone. The hotel is situation just outside Patong which suited us as it meant we could visit the hustle and bustle of Patong, or spent time relaxing at the hotel. There is a shuttle bus that transports you into Patong but a taxi is about 300 Baht. The food at the hotel was exceptional. We had a half board basis which was flexible and there was an extensive menu to choose from. From the hotel you can walk to Freedom beach, the terrain is a little tricky so you can get a lift down on the back of a 4x4 which we opted for. During our stay at the hotel we enjoyed a number of activities including an introduction to Yoga class which took place on the rooftop and was instructed by Lit. Lit gave me a warm welcome to the class and was a great instructor, who was clearly more flexible than me! During our stay it was the Songkran (new year) festival and the hotel staff went above and beyond to make us feel included. Nu and his team organised a parade and games for the whole family whilst also explaining the significance of the Songkran festival to us. My youngest child accessed the kids club and she absolutely loved it. A special mention to Jee who spent time with my daughter doing Origami and colouring and making her feel welcome. We have never used a kids club before on holiday, but the space at Avista provided my daughter with enjoyable activities out of the sun which she loved. A big thank you also to Hong, Siri and Oopup who were also staff in the kids club. My daughter also tried Muay Tai under the instruction of Nu and she loved it. All of the staff in the sports and recreation team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. This was our first visit to Thai Land but we will return.

Thankyou Avista Hideaway! The hotel was fantastic but the staff were even better. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was ever too much trouble. Matt in reception greeted us in reception as we waited to check in and asked us about our plans and made some recommendations as the following day was the start of the Songkran (Thai New Year) celebrations. The hotel put on their own celebrations starting with a procession from the lobby, down to the pool and then games, and a water fight! Nu brought the meaning of Songkran to the guests and ensured they had a fantastic time celebrating. We opted for half board as the hotel is a little out of the way and didnt want to be stuck for options in the evening. We are so glad we did, the food and service was excellent! The chef Spandan was always available and happy to discuss the dishes and even made a few recommendations - thankyou! My son and I signed up to an introduction to Muy Thai. Only half an hour but that was long enough, Lit and Oopup. Our youngest daughter visited the kids club on the final day and loved every minute the staff down there were great she did an origami session and even went back for junior Muy Thai. Thankyou Jee, Hong and Siri. We spent some time around the pools but also explored the local beaches. Freedom Beach is definatley worth visiting but is difficult to get to down a steep hill. Tri Trang in the other direction is also worth a visit easier to get to. We visited Patong a few times and easy to get to using the complimentary shuttle, we didnt spend too much time down there as it was very busy due to Songkran so always nice to get back to the calm of the hotel. A great stay and would highly recommend to anyone considering for a stay in Phuket.

Thank you Avista, you did not disappoint! We had the most wonderful stay with you and it is the small things that you did to make our holiday exceptional! We loved the pools, breakfast buffet and also Vista restaurant. Your staff are amazing... we had Frangipani flowers waiting for us by our pool beds every morning as we tended to spend most of our holiday by the pool. Food is amazing and we loved the buggy's... even when we returned from Patong after a Singha or two the driver did the "whoops" laughing with us up the hill when we were taken back to our room. We'll see you again next year! Thank you to all of your staff

Our stay at the resort was amazing and it was not too far and not too close to the busy streets of Patong. Our kids loved the kids club at the resort and Siri and Jee were amazing to my daughter and son. Jee was kind enough to braid my daughter's hair and siri was helpful in teaching my kids. The views from the pool were great and the bartenders took time to provide quality mint for the mojitos we ordered
