Unhelpful and an Inconvenience (However cannot fault the spa)

Unfortunately this was not the experience we wanted it to be. I booked the spa experience through spa seekers whom I have also been in contact with and had no luck. When we arrived at the hotel having a night stay and spa booked we were told that because we had booked through spa seekers that they had forgotten to put our booking onto the system. When asking if they had another room we were annoyedly told no as they had a chess tournament on that weekend. Being young travellers who had come via train the only option we were given was to travel to the sister hotel in West Bromwich… After much discussion and confusion the lady behind reception told us that she could get us booked into the local Holiday Inn which she said was a ‘short walk’, this normally would be fine however we had large suitcases along a road with no path. We were able to make use of the spa which I cannot fault as the Spa facilities and spa team were lovely. After the stay I was told that we couldn’t be given any compensation even though we were not able to stay where we had booked. I was not happy overall and found most of the staff to be borderline rude and only offering us the Holiday Inn when I was more persistent. Be wary when booking and in future I would recommend ringing ahead to confirm the room booking although that shouldn’t be necessary!

Dog friendly, ideally located hotel

Excellent hotel for our stay while some of us were attending a convention at the Telford International Centre - walking distance from the convention centre (15-20 mins) and half way between is the Telford Centre surrounded by admittedly chain restaurants but covering all tastes and price - we enjoyed Miller & Carter & the Novello Lounge - Wonderful staff with special points to front of house in the bar and breakfast - very dapper man in blue suit, his mother Ashley (I think) and fantastic breakfast host - apologies, I did take names at the time but have lost them! - very dog friendly with dog friendly treats and a large space to walk them behind the hotel - dogs are also allowed in the bar - Gf bread is available for lunch sandwiches

Mostly poor. The room was clean but mould around the window and bathroom door falling apart. These two things are probably due to the lack of extractor in the bathroom which makes the entire room humid after a shower. Water pressure really good Service -awful. We arrived and ordered cocktail “two for £12 all day every day”. Good deal. The second glass brought to our table the server spilled a little on the tray. We asked for tissues to ensure wedidnt get drips on our clothes and she stoned off and came back and threw them on the table. Her attitude for the rest of the day was surly and rude The menu in the restaurant was limited so we went into town but came back to the hotel for cocktails as they tasted good and were good value only to be told that due to another event taking place in the hotel, they were not serving cocktails as they anticipated being very busy. They weren’t and we also found out later the other event had its own bar so the bar was never too busy to do cocktails with the amount of people they had walking around if it had got busy. Facilities -the moment we arrived they hit us with an extra parking charge on our bill. The pool tables were unplayable - one with a ball misssing and the other with columns positioned so that Half the shots were impossible Breakfast -distinctly average. Luke warm at best I would recommend that you do not stay here

Lovely room with very comfy bed. The restaurant was really nice and the food was great. The main takeaway from this hotel was the staff. They were so friendly and kind while being professional. The bar area was pleasant and comfortable. Near to a shopping centre and cinema. Would definitely visit again

We didn’t stay at the hotel but was invited to an awards evening. Whilst I can’t comment on the rooms, my husband and I had a meal in the restaurant and we were served by the lovely Shaun, Xuen & Ellisse! I can’t fault their professionalism and courtesy. Xuen noticed I was cold, I was wearing my husband’s blazer, she immediately turned up the heating. The food was lovely, presented lovely and served with enthusiasm. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the staff and the food, and because of this I will be returning
