We love swissotel brand because of the 2 big twin bed that can fit a family. The fitness center is surprisingly good and complete. They even have Squat rack. We stayed here for few days. During new years eve. The location was good. Near the BTS. Breakfast was good and lots of variety. In front of hotel there is the famous Somboon Seafood restaurant. You can just walk there. Recommended.

Great hotel for revisit

We do love this hotel. Everytime we stayed at this hotel, we always found new improvements. Being returned long stay hotel guests, staff recognised us with warmest hospitality. Food, service, gym, swimming, location are all prefect. Our 2022 & 2023 Tripadvisor reviews on Swissôtel Ratchada already mentioned the pros & cons of this hotel. Last year, we complained the in-house guest smokers breaching hotel policy and Thailand government law that prohibits anyone smoking from any public indoor space. *During 12 night stay, we saw lots guests from China ignore rules and the specific non-smoking written agreement that every guest signed during check-in. The agreement is to penalise 10000bahts to offenders. Some smokers paid the fine but then still smoked in their room. Some refused to pay the fine but insulted hotel staff. On 24th April, 2024, we saw one of similar cases at the reception. This Chinese couple checked out and asked them to pay the penalty with solid evidence ( photos of their room with cigarette traces ). They refused to pay but screamed and insulted staff including CREAM. Cream and All the front staff were professional in very affirmative tone, in diplomatic and polite attitude. They showed these Chinese couple the evidence and the signed agreement. The couple screamed to staff loudly. They excused themselves by claiming their visiting friends smoking in their room. As a reasonable, the hotel guests are always responsible for their room condition and their guest behaviour during their stays. We stayed at 18th floor. We had this Chinese hotel guest smoking close to our room with his door open ( repeated offender ). We went to the front desk and complained. Then, manager PIM approached him instantly with security guards and explained this guest the possibility of his involuntary instant hotel booking cancellation and to be expelled out of hotel premises. Then, this guest and his other smoker friends in other rooms stopped smoking for their rest of hotel stays. On 21th Executive floor, Lounge Staff Sommon and Mon regularly warned smokers not to smoke and succeeded. They also enforced company policy and stopped guests from smoking. The hotel staff did all the best to avoid people from smoking indoors and faced bullying by offenders. Their efforts are appreciated and will eventually pay off. It will probably take 6 months, one year or two years to educate the Chinese guests to respect local rules and regulations. Regarding the Tripadvisor review, it hardly reach the readers from China. Tripadvisor is not a popular website for Chinese tourists and most of them only read and write in Simplified Chinese. Most Chinese tourists are civilised people. Once they learn the social norms and what the appropriate attitude they should behave during travelling. WeChat, “Little Red Book, XiaoHongShu’ Chinese-dominated app. in which they can read and understand comments in simplified Chinese. At last, thanks to all the staff for looking after us.
