Great overnight stop. Hotel new, although, room seemed to be well used. Shower needs a non-slip mat inside or/and outside. Both could become very slippy. Continental breakfast buffet plentiful. There is more than enough to choose from. Not hot food. Nice off road location, with park behind for an evening stroll. Staff are nice and efficient. Good value for money. Restaurant just next door, very convenient, and a nice gesture, with the 15% discount offered to hotel guests. Overall, makes it a complete well spent overnight package, we will stay again, on our next trip.

The room were clean and cosy, its budget so you dont expect any luxury. Very good for the price. We were 4 people and in Summer theres no many places around avaiable for families. The breakfast was simple but nice.

I had a really good time. The room was tremendous value for money. Clean,quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was up to the usual Ibis standard, very good. We arrived a bit late but we were greeted by a very nice lady on reception. Everywhere was very clean and fresh. Could not be better.

Fine for an overnight, but budget does mean no frills.

Ibis are pretty good in France -way ahead of the A1 chain, but don't expect a porter or concierge service. Many Ibis, as this in Monceau, are one-half of an Ibis Budget, one half business with a better reception area, rooms and breakfast buffet. The receptionist works both the budget and more expensive business desks. As neither is viewable from the other sometimes one has to wait or find the call button. Given that the room was clean if not generous in size and the buffet breakfast good enough. Next door is a well run Courte Paille and a few minutes walk away a McD. Monceau center is a little too far for an easy walk but, on the main road, there are one or two family restaurants. On our visit, the receptionist spoke barely accented English - but then as we discovered she was from Devon! It's handy to find a less expensive stop over so that we do not impose on friends in the area and will return to the Ibis. it's easy to find, cheap and clean - all we need for a one or two nighter.

A tragic disappointment

Had booked this hotel a month before traveling as I was traveling back from Portugal to Germany in four days with my husband and two small girls. I had called before booking asking if it was ok to bring a toddler into the room for three people extra and was told of course no problem. On arrival at 8 pm I was told no way could the four of us stay in the room for three, and the ladies were very unfriendly and totally unwilling to refund us the room. After my husband got very annoyed and having asked to talk to the boss Monsieur [--], who was phoned, he agreed to refunding the cost of the room. 10 days later nothing has happened so far. Very disappointing to have such a family unfriendly hotel and such incomprehensive employees!! Just leaving parents with two small kids out in the road at night knowing everything else in the region was booked that night.....ibis budget, never again!!!!

Your security is the priority of our team. Therefore, due to our fire safety policy, our rooms cannot host more than three people children included. That’s why the receptionists proposed you another room for the same price as the first one. Because you refused and as asked we canceled your reservation for free. For technical reasons the refund for a prepaid booking can last at least fifteen days. But after a contact with our services we are pleased to inform you that the payback has been done on the 1st August. For your next stay we also have Family rooms available, those can welcome five persons still children included. Yours faithfully Xavier M Manager
