Great stay, the people absolutely make it. There were so many fantastic people working at the hotel there are too many to mention. Literally everyone we spoke to was super friendly and wanted to ensure we were having a great stay. I can’t recommend enough.

Good base from which to explore Chester and surrounding attractions.

Rooms clean but basic. Not much hanging or storage space. Staff friendly and helpful. Situated outside Chester centre but close to a park and ride from which there was a bus every 20 mins. Plenty parking at hotel. Breakfast good selection of hot and cold items.

A brand new hotel so can’t really fault this place , it’s smart modern and in the summer would be a decent little break , the breakfast was a bit chaotic and bland but as a hotel chain it’s the normal expected brekkie, My negative is the parking charge £15 for a paying guest is a bit much ! And that’s if there is a space , it’s tiny , but all in all was nice

Biggest thank you to Sue on the reception team. Give this lady a pay rise!!! Couldn’t have done more for us. Lovely hotel with wonderful facilities. Would 100% stay again and have signed up for the Mercure club based on Sue and the teams service. Thank you for making our stay wonderful.

CAR PARKING RIP OFF

We went to a function at the hotel in February and to my surprise a couple of weeks ago received by post a car parking charge for £100. We apealed to the car parking company with evidence that we went to the hotel but they rejected it. Its an absolute disgrace. No one told us at reception . On trip advisor the hotel say there is free parking for 160 cars. Will not be going back there!

Hi Charlene, Thank you for sharing your feedback. The car park management system is not in place to catch out legitimate users. That said there are signs on entrance to the car park, throughout the carpark, on entrance to the hotel and throughout the hotel lobby stating the requirement to add your vehicle registration to the tablets at reception to avoid what you describe. If you send a copy of the charge that you have received to richard.dixon@mercurechester.co.uk along with evidence of your visit we will look to have this cancelled for you.
