Lovely 2 night break

We had decided on a 2 night stay as part of a week off work, as we wanted to try out the Newhaven-Dieppe ferry route. The hotel was ideal, paid parking on site makes it more convenient, the whole hotel was spotless and the beds very comfortable. The atmosphere is relaxed and laid d back, but if you need anything the staff are very friendly and keen to help. There is a restaurant on site that is independent, but we didn’t use it. There is a short room service menu , which we ordered a chocolate pudding from and that was very nice. We paid the additional €17 pp breakfast on the second day, which is quite extensive, fruits, cereals, sausage, bacon eggs, breads and croissants, cooked meats abs cheeses, apple pie etc and in a lovely room at the top of the hotel where overlooking the sea. It is a short walk into the old town for shops, cafes and restaurants, or a stroll along the seafront (but in December, this is freezing so wouldn’t recommend it!) if we were coming into or out of Normandy again, this is where we would stay. Ideal

Would recommend this hotel and will stay here anytime I’m in Dieppe

Lovely room, liked the layout and design. Bed was so comfortable and bedding was good quality and everything was spotless. Breakfast was excellent with lots of great choices and with an amazing panoramic view of the sea. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice secure underground parking but this was extra.

This hotel is well placed for a walk along the beach but also easy to cut through to the harbour area with restaurants and bars. Easy walk to the historic sites ad the museum about the Dieppe Raid is just behind it. Room was a good size and staff helpful. Nice bar and restaurant.

We have stayed in this hotel many times over probably 20 years and we have had good times and bad (see my previous posts). This time we arrived to find the portico roof had not got one metre high weeds on and in fact had plants in tubs, also the front of the hotel had flowering plants! On entering we noticed the air conditioning was working and so we would not need the large electric fan that we normally bought with us!! The bar had been moved and the bar area updated as had the reception area, everything looked so much better and the staff were more relaxed and happy than ever before. Olivier and everyone on reception and the bar staff were chatty as never before and we really enjoyed our evenings there. Our suite (432) was as good as ever and we appreciated the extra towels, however could we have China cups rather than cardboard please? We presume the hotel has been taken over in the last few months and can only say it is the best thing that has happened to the hotel !

Prestige room on 4th floor was spacious, and air conditioning very good. The bed was comfortable and large. The breakfast was one of the best. The view of the sea front and window sound proofing also very good. The wash basin in bathroom was strange with no plug so water is wasted. There was a kettle, but only to provide very small paper cups instead of mugs or proper cups and saucers were not satisfactory for a 4 star hotel. These could be provided at minimum cost, but apart from these items we had a good stay. ,
