Inedible overpriced food and terrible attitudes. We stayed for 2 nights for a large function which was well managed. However, on the first evening in the restaurant the meals were cold. They were returned cold with hot gravy poured all over them. The cheesecake dessert had a black hair in it and I received a shoulder shrug from the manager who said it wasn't his but to inform reception which I did. Here I was informed by a very rude sarcastic lady that if I still felt annoyed in the morning to tell reception??? We had a bed,breakfast and dinner package so ordered breakfast to the room.....that cost extra £10. The small plates of salami were missing just had 3 slices of curled up plastic cheese, no coffee pot just a cup with a saucer on top that had spilt, no milk jug just small spirit glass for both beverages and cereal. The cooked breakfast was cold and the "toast" was thin slices of stale bread. The cleaner left new towels but did not make the bed or clean. Later that evening we ordered from the menu for delivery...rack of ribs with a squirt of sauce o top, side of chips was tiny, chicken with serrano ham and no saute potatoes which when they did arrive where like hard deep fried tiddlywinks....and yes all cold. This meal plus a bottle of pinot was £88 plus £10 room charge. Couldn't face the breakfast the following morning so instead of taking advantage of our late check out which was extra we left. The parking is £20 /night but as it is only about 40ish spaces it took 8 drive arounds before we found a space. A lovely receptionist called Laura helped us with my husbands oxygen equipment and our air conditioning and this was the only positive about this stay. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The only meals consumed were those during the function. Never again

Over night stay , room 701 room to poor standard for this type of hotel room in need of refit. The room has a disabled shower and not the best. Fowsty smell to room poor selection of furniture. Breakfast poor selection and food cold on hot plate all self service.

Recently stayed here for a few nights in this lovely hotel with a great location and good leisure and spa facilities but unfortunately the food offering here is shambolic and on the night we are here we decided it was the worst food we had ever been served with the food resembling no familiarity to the menu description and both me and my partners food was not fresh and had an unpleasant taste I would never return to this restaurant. The breakfast offering is also very poor and stuff hovering around but do not engage with customers and on two occasions while getting more breakfast and drinks refills my plate was taken away . This hotel will also not take cash over the bar and refused cash claiming they don’t have chsnge in the till . Please be wary of the services provided here .

The phone in the room does not work and no-one answers the WhatsApp phone number, when I was finally able to order room service it took 45 minutes for a bowl of chips and a glass of wine despite not being told there would be a delay or any explanation when finally received. I booked a spa treatment and was not told when booking or on arrival that there would be swimming lessons in the pool, if I had been aware I would have booked a different time. Instead I was greeted by a large group of screaming children running around in the changing room, children shouting during my treatment and I did not get to use the facilities as I had paid to relax and the noise was awful. I mentioned all of this at checkout and was advised to send an email so I sent one to the hotel and one to the spa and both of these have been ignored even though it has been over a week. I am appaled with the poor experience and the lack of customer service and will not be wasting my money by returning here!!

The hotel is fabulous, the spa is basic but ok, the restaurant is awful. I paid £17 for a trout dish, thinking it would be served with vegetables or potatoes...no it's just the trout. When I ordered fries, they were half cooked and were sent back.I asked for vegetables but I was given overcooked mush. My friend had the spicy cod tocos, they were just fish fingers. Her prawn cocktail came with stale white bread, and not the promised rustic bread. It was a truly awful meal. Thankfully we had bought snacks in M&S earlier in the day. You would expect a hotel to have chefs trained to a reasonable standard, they couldn’t even give me mashed potato because it came pre-packed with a different meal and they obviously didn’t have actual potatoes in the kitchen. I will stay here again but I will eat out next time.
