Great family trip to Edinburgh

We stayed as a family over the Easter break. It’s in a great location in the old part of the city walkable to the National Museum, the castle and Grassmarket. Wonderful breakfast available with loads of options. Great pool which the children enjoyed. Food in the restaurant was nice, varied and well priced. We were glad of the easy access on two evenings when we didn’t want to go out. Our flight was cancelled on the Saturday evening and we needed to stay for two extra nights and they accommodated us and relieved a lot of stress which we were very grateful for. Many thanks to Enrico for his help. Would happily recommend this hotel which was one of the more affordable options in Edinburgh.

Great location for a weekend away, local to train Station and castle, pubs and walks would revisit, great staff very friendly could not do enough for you, very quiet never heard a noise, rooms very clean and all staff were friendly and couldn't do anymore for you

What was a wonderful few days at the Novotel Edinburgh Centre could’ve turned out to be a disaster as we checked out and left some really important documents in our room. We were miles away in London when we rang the hotel and were assured that our items would be secured. Special thanks to the staff, especially Front Desk Manager Neli Stoyanova, who secured and mailed our items to us right in time. Many thanks!

Perfect for a short break visiting Edinburgh

Fabulous hotel in a great location. 5 minutes from the popular Grassmarket area and about 10 minutes walk to the Castle. We stayed 2 nights and the room was perfect for us as a family of 4. The children slept on a sofa bed which was very comfy. Added bonus was the on-site gym and pool which we Made the most of each morning. Breakfast was excellent and kids eat breakfast for free. We would absolutely stay at this hotel again. Tip - become a member of Accor rewards to get discount on hotel booking.

Arrived and managed to park in the carpark easily, check in was lengthy with no explanation as to what took so long so allocate our room and wouldnt say we had a particularly warm welcome. Room was clean but with only towels and mugs for 2 people, requested another towel as there was 3 of us via phone to reception which never arrived so we shared. I would say the pool had way too much chlorine, stinging eyes and the smell stayed up my nose for hours later so didnt stay in it for long, the changing room is tiny and all a bit of a faff getting a key card for the pool, token for locker and waiting list to use pool, definitely needs a better system.
