This is more of a budget hotel as the facilities are a little limited. For example the breakfast room is very small thereby limiting the range of food options available. Having said that this hotel has much to offer. It is comfortable and superbly located being near to the lake, old town and railway station. The biggest plus however are the staff - friendly, helpful and supportive. When we were due to leave our pre booked taxi (through Booking,com) failed to arrive but they managed to get us a replacement within a matter of minutes. They spoke excellent English and tolerated my abysmal attempts at French. I can recommend it.

The hotel is located near the train station, underground public carpark and main attractions. There was a supermarket within a short walk from the hotel as well. The hotel has a lift/elevator, which made moving of luggage easy. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful too. The rooms were very clean and the bedding was great! Basic toiletries and amenities (eg shower gel, towels, kettle & TV) were available as well. Overall, we had a pleasant stay with the hotel!

This hotel is perfectly located on the edge of the old town. Our room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was excellent , with a great choice of local produce. Although we had a small issue during our stay, the matter was dealt with swiftly and professionally. All the staff were a credit to the hotel, but a special mention goes to a lovely lady called Florence, who was exceptional and very attentive. I would recommend this hotel and would like to return

Staying at this hotel has three distinct advantages: 1. It is clean and comfortable. The beds are great. The sheets and duvet are super clean. The shower is brilliant. The aircon is brilliant. The rooms are cleaned and the beds are made up expertly everyday. The Wi-Fi works! There is a safe in the room to store your valuables such as passports. It’s quiet. 2. Laura at the Mai reception desk (she may be the manager) is exceptionally friendly and helpful with a young team around her who are also friendly and cheerful. She will give you excellent advice about where to eat and excursions around Annecy. You can’t miss Laura because she has piercing blue eyes (from the normal brown eyed French), being a Breton. 3. Above all, its location cannot be beaten for its convenience. 5 mins from the main bus and railway station. 1 minute from the main shopping street. 5 mins to the old historic centre. There are good restaurants just seconds away from the hotel - a restaurant, a Brasserie, a Thai, a Vietnamese, a sushi place, an Italian and a family sports bar with a good pub menu. There is simply nowhere better to stay and I would stay here again. The hotel prices are all very similar to other 4 star hotels in Annecy, but a word of warning about the prices shown on Booking.com. No matter how early you book, you are not getting a deal. It is better to negotiate directly with the hotel for a discount. The hotel wins because they don’t have to pay Booking.com a 15% surcharge . You win because you may get the room cheaper. We booked on Booking.com 8 months before we went, only to find out in situ that we were just paying the full hotel rate, which in late July/Aug is 175 Euros per night. Also, don’t pay for breakfast at 17.90 Euros each per day. It’s better to have breakfast out. Cheaper with more variety. What the hotel could do better: Stock the minibar more fully everyday and have better tea making facilities such as tea and real milk rather than powdered milk.
