Basic hotel in the outskirts of Würtzburg. Easy access from the Autobahn. The rooms are basic, but you have all you need for the night. Good mattresses, quiet hallways and surroundings. The rooms are very clean and so is the shower. Breakfast is ok, but keep in mind that this is a one star hotel. No big buffet with warm food, but you get a selection of breads and bagels along with cereals and different lay ons. Good coffee. Easy parking outside.

I'm in my room right now, just checked in. I'm sweating, because it's a sunny day, the room is in the top floor (3rd) and there is no air conditioning – not in the room, not on the floor. I told the guy at the reception (a nice guy, you have to give him that), and he said he knows. I asked to be moved to a lower floor, but that it's not possible, because all the rooms for families are on the top floor. I asked for a room with a double bed, and then add a small bed for the child: not possible. The room is small but fairly clean. We have bunk beds (yes, bunk beds): my son will sleep above my wife and me, while we'll share a bed so narrow that nobody can call it "double" and remain serious. We have a toilet, a shower and a small sink, but we don't have a bathroom: the toilet is in a 1m² closet with no fan to take out the smell, so we'll have to share literally everything. Same for the shower: this time the closet is maybe 1.5m², but still no fan. The sink is in the room with us. Ok, enough whining, I have to go downstairs and bring up the luggage. Of course, no elevator. But hey, I saved 30€ compared to a decent place to sleep with my family.

I booked this hotel for a client of mine, upon arrival he had to already wait until 5pm for check-in. I sent a third party payment the week prior which should have been processed. When my client arrived, he was accused of the credit card not working multiple times. After I had to resend the exact same details he managed to have it working. He was yelling and screaming at my client which is completely unacceptable behaviour from anyone visiting the hotel. I would never recommend anyone to stay here if you are treated so poorly upon arrival. Absolute disgraceful attitude.

BE AWARE! DO NOT PAY IN ADVANCE! It’s not possible to get a refund if you have to cancel your reservation! This is totally unacceptable! If you have to use this Ibis DO NOT PAY IN ADVANCE! There is NO customerservice at this hotel hest so ever! I Will find another place to stay next time!

There was no air conditioning or negotiable airflow. The toilet was directly off the bedroom and had no basin, window or extractor fan in it, as the basin was in the bedroom. The shower was in the bedroom (up to this point in my experience, the bath or shower, toilet and basin had always been in a separate room and generally have an extractor fan or a window.) and the floor immediately outside the shower was way too slippery, resulting in me falling over as I stepped out of the shower. I will admit that it was a very nice shower. I woke up in the night to discover a fine grit or sand (black) on me and the bed, with no clue as to where it came from. The TV had really old RCA import cable plugs (ancient predecessor to HDMI) but no HDMI or USB. 59 Euros for 1 night. They charge 6 Euros for wifi, so it wasn't free. No coffee or tea facility in the room, and no breakfast of any sort was offered, with no discount to the room price to reflect it. I didn't sleep well, partly because of the sand/grit, and partly because the bed was lumpy. Incidentally, it was a double bed with a single bunk bed above it, with only 2 single duvets. Not going back.
