Great hotel and service - 2 bed apartment and plenty of space. Room had microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle and enough crockery/utensils. Room was bit hot (fan made no difference) and noisy (overlooked terrace with nesting seagulls and building site close by). Supermarket & tram stop close by - easy to get into Amsterdam (20 mins). Breakfast Ok - continental buffet

Location is very put of the way, looking aboit 30 minutes each way to city centre. 4 of us stayed on the top floor apartment, which was dirty and dusty. Check-in was a joke, such poor service and extra charges, even though I had emailed several times before check-in. Check in was ridiculous, keen to get money over service and care, felt like they couldn't care less. Check out was just as bad. The phone in the room was broken along with the bath, and TV remotes. All glasses had to be rewashed, and you have to buy the most basic of things such as salt and pepper. Amenities and kitchen accessories to do the basics of cooking were really bad, and all the beds were dusty like no one checked the room for weeks. Would never visit again and do not recommend it to anyone.

Comfort like a home

During my extensive 5-month stay at Adagio Aparthotel Amsterdam in a Junior Suite, I found the facility to be exceptional. Its proximity to two tram stations provided convenient transportation options, enhancing the overall accessibility. The unit was equipped with fully functional kitchen which includes Oven, induction hob, fridge, dishwasher and kitchen utensils and cutlery. Living room includes a large L shape sofa, a big chair and TV. I connected my Google Chromecast TV for various international channels. The bedroom has a large double bed with comfy mattress and comforter and a TV as well. Entire living room and bedroom is carpeted. WC and Shower area is separated and includes all required amenities. Though room cleaning is once a week, but you can always change the towels anytime at the front desk. Washer and Dryer are at basement. The front desk service was consistently impressive—quick, efficient, and always accompanied by friendly smiles, creating a welcoming atmosphere. A standout moment was my interaction with Steve, who showcased the hotel’s commitment to guest satisfaction. I approached him with a request for additional accommodation to accommodate my family, and he not only acknowledged it promptly but also accepted the request, demonstrating a high level of flexibility and customer-centric approach. Overall I felt like a second home while staying there!

Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Warm welcome as well. Breakfast was very nice. The hotel is very clean and they use ritual items in bathrooms and toilets as well. The rooms are very clean too. It has basic things in the kitchen with dishwasher as well

The hotel is in Amstelveen. This is a locality south of Amsterdam City. We chose this location because of our own familiarity of this area (lived in the area more than 25 years ago). We had planned to come to this hotel twice before in 2021 and 2022 and cancelled due to Covid. The hotel is also located between tram stops “Amstelveen, Uilenstede” and Amsterdam “Kortenberg” (No 5 and 25 trams). The closest tram stop is “Kortenberg”. When travelling from the airport, we took a train to Amsterdam Zuid and then a taxi (Uber). If travelling without heavy luggage, a tram from Amsterdam Zuid was possible. However it is noted that there is a 5 minutes of walk from Amsterdam Zuid train Station to the nearest Tram station. When travelling to Amsterdam City by tram, a changeover to another Tram at Amsterdam Zuid is necessary. We did not consider this as an inconvenience, considering many other advantages of staying at Amstelveen area or at this particular hotel. Because of its location, the availability of restaurants and eating places is limited. However there are restaurants at this hotel and the IBIS hotel almost next door. We opted not having breakfast at the hotel as we had a fully equipped kitchen with our apartment. We had our supplies available from the nearest Supermarket Dirk Van den Broek only 10-15 minutes’ walk from the apartment. We had an issue when trying to get an urgent telephone to our departing Airline. Even the technician could not rectify this external telephone connection. But he was gracious enough to provide his own (hotel owned) mobile phone to call our airline (with over twenty minutes on hold time as well) We were very pleased with all the facilities (comfort, space, furniture, sleep quality). If there is anything I can suggest to improve is the bathroom. The shower head was not height adjustable and was fixed too low to our liking. The bottles with shampoo and conditioner could not be squeezed easily. There is no door with the shower. The water can easily spread outside the shower itself. As such the floor mat can get wet easily. We loved the hospitality shown by all the staff and at the reception. We would love to come back.
