An Honest Review and Assessment from a U.K. Couple

So overall the resort is 4.5/5 but given that’s not possible we gave it 5/5. First up it’s a top resort with lovely grounds, facilities and food. If you are expecting to be 5* Maldives or Mexico etc then do remember there is a reason the price points are different - value for money this is 5/5. We wanted a week of quiet bliss with top food options (tried all of the a la carte except for the Sushi and Indian) - our favourites were the Asian Fusion, the Turkish and the Mangal (bbq). Coupled with lovely weather (30-34 everyday), pool with no loudness surrounding it (head to the smaller pool at the side is a tip) and a destress. Bingo we got all of those and more! The food was excellent - buffet was the largest I’ve ever seen actually in an all inclusive GLOBALLY. In fact the Turkish and Mangal restaurants we put up there as some of the best quality of anywhere in the all inclusive world. The staff are immense. I’ve never seen so much attention to detail on the grounds of the resort and this place is big so no wonder they are at it day and night. Shout outs to Chef Ahmed at the Mangal, Chef Mohamed Moher at Asian fusion, Hassan and Mohamed at the Pool as our lifeguards, Michele at the top bar and also Hassan Bond at the Dive Centre. We took a private boat out for a half day via Hassan Bond and boy was it worth it. Great exposure for snorkelling and we were there practically in the ocean on our own. Spotting my first ever lionfish too ! The accommodation is all good - spacious and plenty of room with obv aircon throughout. If you are less mobile there are constant golf buggies going up and around the resort or to next door’s Seagate - although we walked everywhere as we like to get the miles in ! Entertainment was good. A show typically followed by a DJ all good in the evening. So here are a few friendly tips for the hotel to make it truly exceptional and a full 5/5: 1) The 5pm music at the beach - it should not be the DJ-esque same music as you get at 11pm. Bring on the chilled out, solo singers, brass bands or something chilled to enjoy a drink please!! 2) The way to order a table at the a la carte needs changing. You can book from 12.01 ie 1min past midnight for the 24hrs in advance but there has already been some availability or all sometimes gone. There needs a better system. I would suggest a vibrating device when people go up and say they would like a table and you go and have a drink and come back when it goes off and the table is free. 3) The wine and beer were all good. The cocktails need some work. There is a big difference even in the wine between drinks served at the beach bar and those at the top (recommend heading to the outside space at the top area for some good standard drinks). 4) Advertise the Turkish breakfast better. We decided to go one morning only to be told we had to book with reception even though they sent us down there. Not ideal and so we missed out which was disappointing. 5) A map and better advertising over where and what is open. There is a QR code but the only place you can go to find out which restaurant is open is by seeing guest relations. This seems silly and an easy fix is to have it on the booking site as well as the menus uploaded. This is a great place and good value for money and ticked all our boxes. It would have been exceptional if these small adjustments had been made especially the 5pm music which could be heard everywhere and needs to be much more mellow at that time of the afternoon!
