Excellent customer service, from front desk and smooth checkin to room cleaning, which was thorough, and everything else in between. The hotel rooms and floors are in excellent condition compared to other "5 star" hotels. Very much expected from a Fairmont hotel

This my second visit in this great service great location hotel both visit in Ramadan make sure to book in the golden floor it is a big different worth the price especially for the private prayer hall and private elevators Highly recommended especially in Ramadan

Hotel with great potential but needs some improvements

This stay was filled with mixed emotions. The location and room were good but the breakfast and checkin process were not upto fairmont standards. Having reached the hotel just before suhoor on the last day of Ramadan I was worried about missing my suhoor as I had 45 mins left. Alhamdulillah on asking the receptionist on the GF breakfast lounge where I could purchase some coffee he was so wonderful and said ‘be my guest’ and have suhoor in our restaurant. May Allah reward him abundantly. The checkin was a long process as I had to wait nearly one and a half hours to checkin even though I am a accor platinum member. This was a slow and painful wait whilst there were no seats available to sit. I was not even given a welcome drinks voucher. The room given to me (4903) was a twin room with a very good view of the kaabah and the sky view of Makkah. The room was clean and the beds comfortable (the beds are not as comfortable as other fairmont hotels but good non the less). I asked for a baby cot and this was given to me on request. The bathroom area is ample with good amenities. The house keeping were very good and provided a great service. I was also given Kahva coffee and khajoor daily The breakfast is very basic and not as varied as other fairmont hotels. It is definitely not upto the standards of other Makkah hotels like jumeirah, hilton and Conrad. I contacted the hotel before booking to ask if they provided gluten free options and was assured they did unfortunately this was not the case when I got there. The most they could give me was 4/5 slices of bread a day. No other pastries or other gluten free options. The service at breakfast on floor 29 was hit and miss. Overall the highlight of the hotel is the location and views.
