A great value budget hotel

My husband and I stayed at this hotel with our son for 3 nights, on the way back from our daughter’s wedding in Boracay. It was extremely good value for money - very clean and good sized rooms for Singapore. The air-con in the rooms was good and not noisy like other places we had stayed in, and the staff very accommodating. The hotel is very central to all the places we wanted to visit. There are 2 MTRs within a few minutes’ walk which serve different directions. We didn’t have breakfast but did have a meal in the restaurant on the afternoon that we flew home. It was very acceptable. Only one little grumble - the pillows were very large and quite hard, although one of mine was a little softer than the other. But that didn’t detract from the very good stay we had there. I would highly recommend as a budget hotel - central to all the places highlighted in the guidebooks.

About 5 min from the nearest station: Bugis. Good access to the tourist spots nearby: namely Bugis street, Haji Ln, and Sultan Mosque. Room is quite standard. As is often the case in Singapore, the water pressure in the showers was quite weak.

It was an average experience, the staff at reception was not warm And welcoming, super casual approach and very cold behaviour. Housekeeping staff was very good and very warm. Our Ac was not working during our 4 days stay , person was sent but still it wasn’t corrected, moreover tone was so tired that didn’t had the strength to ask the hotel to send again. Rooms were okay, pillows were uncomfortable. Train station was slightly away..was not closer.

I thought it was near perfect for business trip. Budgeted and great location. The Good I used taxi app to catch taxi to go anywhere or to get back and this location was very easy to call taxi. Nearby, there were great restaurants, also if you walk few minutes a big shopping mall. The area had both local and developed face of the country. So it was fun, just walking around the hotel was fun and felt safe about it. So locationwise and with the hotel price, I thought it was very good. Hotel alone, it was clean, simple, good internet and that was enough for this business trip. The only reason I couldn't give five star is because I had nearly zero communication with staff. And defenitely not a complain. Staff are nice, answers to question but that's it. The Bad (perhaps not "bad") As mentioned earlier, very useful and productive hotel. But felt no hospitality. If I am a manager, I'd be proud how staffs are not wasting time and being productive on their work but as a guest, I mean, it's not required but a greetings and few words are always better impression. Although, it's far more better than seeing hotel staff gigling and chatting.

It's a decent hotel but mostly its self-service. You can't expect too much from the staff. Even the front office is very direct and to the point, a bit cold to be honest. In hospitality you do expect better. Nonetheless, the rooms are fine, a bit small but adequate for 2 people. Bed is comfortable, and breakfast is fine. They had a strict time rule of 10AM and would just pull the plug off most items sharp at 10. Too many rules to follow when in Singapore. We shifted from here to another hotel after 3 nights and the second hotel was much much better.
