Gold lounge staffs were great and professional , other than that the hotel has nothing to do with luxury nor the Fairmont brand. They are still using old Sofitel’s towels n duvet in some rooms . It’s worn out n dirty!!! And please be aware that they dun care about your Accor status at all. Apparently their system is not linked to Accor system.

Perfect hotel in Rio. Great even for a Fairmont. We went at the end of our honeymoon and we were really treated well. I would recommend the hotel to anyone

The location of this hotel is unbeatable. We got upgraded to a suite through the Amex fine hotels program. Fantastic ocean views. Nice pool and bar area. Breakfast was decent. Room service is excellent. They have live music every evening which was good. Great stay

Our decision to stay at the Fairmont Rio De Janeiro was an excellent one. Being located between Copacabana and Ipanema Beaches, it’s an ideal location. I’d worked with Concierge Claudio V in advance of our stay to ensure we had airport pickup on our arrival day and Cruise Ship Terminal drop off on our departure day. We were greeted at the airport and escorted to our waiting vehicle. When we arrived at the hotel, we were taken up to the 4th floor Gold Check-in desk to find out we’d been upgraded to room 905. This suite has a living room, bedroom, huge bathroom and 4 balconies which give unbelievable views to both Copacabana Beach, Fort Copacabana and Ipanema. Amazing facility with excellent pools to relax by and great music at night. We also enjoyed the food and drinks in the Gold Lounge on the 4th floor and the TropiK Beach Club. Fairmont Rio De Janeiro is an excellent facility in a perfect location with amazing service and food. Our stay was unforgettable.

The best view in bay

For pleasure or business this hotel is a most. The best view of bay. You know for me security is all, this hotel is beyond that starting with guards everywhere, CCTV, card in elevators to access the right floor or gym or pool. My entire recommendation.
