Our stay was off to a bad start as we were given a smoking room with disgusting smell. But we called the reception and they gave us another room and that one was perfect. From then on we enjoyed every moment. The room was clean, modern and spacious enough. The location of the hotel was excellent - walking distance to all the attractions and the bars / restuarants. The parking while not on site, was close enough and had good price. The staff especially in the afternoon / evening were very friendly. Fantastic value for money and a perfect hotel to spend a few nights in lovely Blois.

The location is perfect. Easy 10 min walk from the train station. The hotel staff are welcoming and helpful. The room was renovated and specious. More specious than most Ibis hotels' rooms I have been to around the world. As a Platinum Accor member I was very pleased with this hotel.

A nightmare in La Loire

Too many incidents to include in this review.Following the highlights: Ibis Blois Centre Chateau trains its employees in La Santé Prision, otherwise I dealt with small village, narrow-minded, uneducated, and ignorant staff that are openly confrontational. Do not even think about a nice welcome and or a smooth check-in; Forget about housekeeping: it is nonexistent. When I complained about it, the shift "manager" challenged me... twice! ,first, proposing a face-to-face with the maid, otherwise, directly with her. Needless to say, in the hotel business, not in a prision like Ibis Blois Centre Chateau, the issue will have been addressed immediately, without discussion and after apologising profusely. At least that has been my experience in 40+ years of travelling. Later, this person offered no charge for breakfast in lieu of the circumstances (but no apologies whatsoever!). Too little, too late; Very small rooms, mine looking to the town’s main street, very noisy all night long; Granted, the hotel is in an excellent location, in a destination where the tourist area is so small location becomes irrelevant; A light at the end of the tunnel: a decent breakfast overlooked by efficient staff and a very good deal for parking. Period.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel and underlining the quality of our buffet breakfast. The inconvenient for our great location is the city life and its noise. We have also some rooms on an inner court, more quiet but the view is not that nice and lightful. I am really sorry that the cleaning was not perfect. My colleague was only trying to explain you that the maid did make the cleaning in the room but that our process does not include the change of towels and sheets every day for a client staying overnight, only on request. Nice Hotel

I spent a night in Ibis Blois Centre Chateau. Overall it was a great stay and it meets my expectation. The staff is amazing, the room is nice (though I did not see any slippers). The bed and pillow super comfortable. The toilet door in my room could not be locked properly, thus there was a leackage to the floor beside. However it is not a big problem for me. I enjoyed the breakfast. It is great too. Maybe one thing - just need to add more coffee machiene as there was a queue just for the coffee. Oh yea, I love the lift of the hotel. So beautiful

Tiny but clean, well located

The reception staff is very friendly. The rooms are really small but clean. We missed having a wardrobe but made do with the small rack and the available coat hangers. Breakfast is not what we are used too, it's probably the smallest buffet I have ever seen and I have traveled to several ibis hotels before. It's definitely not worth to pay extra for breakfast. We found a small little bakery on a 2 min walk down the street where you can have coffee and pastries much cheaper than in the hotel (there is no coffee in the hotel, only hot water from the machine and instant coffee powder). This bakery has 4 tables outside on the streetside and you have more choice in breakfast here than at the buffet in the hotel. The elevator broke down during our stay, we had our room on the 4th floor so needless to say we were not amused but on the plus side we did get some unforeseen workouts in. I would compare this hotel to a small Parisienne hotel, as everything is very petite, you should know this before booking! There is no safe nor are there coffee/tea facilities in the room. It's an ok hotel for 1 or 2 nights but I wouldn't recommend a long stay.
