We chose Rixos Hotels for their sports activities, and it was our first visit to Dubai. We want to thank the entire team at Exclusive Sports Academy in Rixos Palm for their professionalism and excellent workouts. Mariana, thank you for your endless positivity and energy - I had a great experience with Kangoo Jump. Furkan and Kagan, thank you for the professional functional training sessions. Koksal, thank you for the unforgettable ice bath experience. We had a great time with you all. We wish you all the best and hope to see you again. Rivkin Family

It was a wonderful7 days in this hotel, we felt at home! I want to express special thanks to the guys from Exclusive Sport Club, especially Yaroslav. With the first day, the guys tried so that we would not bored and did not relax (huge variety of sports activities and friendly atmosphere turned our holiday into something unforgettable and very useful for us withwife).

We spent a week celebrating my husbands 60th birthday with family and friends. This hotel is wonderful, everything you could need is available. The food is stunning and the a la carte are fantastic quality. The hotel itself is gorgeous and we loved Bar 1 in the evening, having a few drinks before dinner. The cocktails are not like your normal all inclusive, these are what you would get in a top bar in London, we were looked after by Cristy most nights who always remembered our order. But what makes this hotel so great is the people. The staff can’t do enough for you, service is wonderful, delivered with a smile. Each and every member of staff goes out of their way to make your stay special. This is a truly special place and we would like to thank the wonderful team for helping us make such special memories

My family and I have just come back from a week stay at Rixos the Palm and overall the stay was disappointing especially having read all of the wonderful reviews on the service at the hotel. The positive aspects of the hotel were: - very clean, modern & spacious hotel. We stayed in a junior suite and it was incredibly comfortable for myself, husband & two children (3 and 4 months) - Food was varied overall and tasty and both the buffet restaurant and the a la carte restaurants ( Toro Loco & L’Olivo specifically) - Great drinks selection available as part of the all inclusive package - Service at Bar1 was exceptional - The children facilities were excellent Now on to the negatives. My son has allergies to dairy, sesame and whole egg (baked egg is fine). At the buffet restaurant we saw signs saying if you needed assistance with what the food contains to ask a supervisor or chef. However, each food was clearly labelled with the allergens so we didn’t feel the need to ask for assistance. On our second night, I found a dessert that I thought my son could have as it wasn’t labelled with any of his allergies. After eating it, he soon had an allergic reaction (coughing, hives, & vomiting). We gave him some medication however we were still worried so I called concierge and they assisted in getting some medication for him. Luckily, once the medication worked my son was fine. I had thought I’d made the mistake and given him the wrong food and was beside myself. However, when we reflected there were numerous incidents where allergens were incorrectly labelled. At Bodrum restaurant at lunchtime the previous day, I ordered my son the burger and chips. When it arrived it had a sesame bun even though the menu did not show that it contained sesame as an allergen. They promptly took it away and remade it. At lunchtime on the day following my son’s allergic reaction, I went to get him some food from the buffet. After seeing a pasta dish whose label did not contain my son’s allergies, I opened the lid and saw it covered in cheese. I asked the chef behind the dish if it contained cheese and he confirmed it did. I informed him that the allergy label was incorrect. I made a complaint to the manager as I could also see that items which were not labelled as containing dairy one day were labelled with dairy the next, and vice versa. Frankly, this inconsistency and mislabelling is completely unacceptable for a 5 star resort! Upon making the complaint the manager suggested that it was my fault for not informing them of the allergies. However, I was never asked if anyone in my party had allergies or told to inform them. That aside, it still does not excuse the mislabelling. Within 10 minutes of the complaint, I saw a supervisor and a chef take away handfuls of labels which I presume were incorrect. For subsequent meals, we had a supervisor take our son’s order and his food was made separately for each meal which was greatly appreciated. Besides this, here are certain aspects that should be improved: - service - pool bar service was very inconsistent and tended to focus on a select group of people. Beach service practically nonexistent. - Housekeeping - some days our room wasn’t attended to when we came back to the room at 5/6pm - The a la carte menus have the same vegetarian options across all 3 restaurants - The guest relations team was all over the place. They offered to get the waterpark tickets for us, I requested them in the morning and the said they would be in our room. At 5pm when we returned they weren’t there so I messaged to check as we were planning our day at the waterpark the next day. They said they’d be ready to collect from the desk the next day. However when I went to collect they still weren’t there. Also they messed up the time of a reservation at the spa. Later in our stay one of the team came up to us to ask if our stay had been ok as it was our last night - it wasn’t our last night we were staying two more nights - Going down to the pool in a morning, the majority of the beds were reserved with towels. Frustrating when a lot of them wouldn’t be occupied until near midday Unfortunately our experience of this hotel did not live up to the 5 star expectations. Others seem to have had a wonderful experience where the staff could not do enough for them however that definitely was not the case for us.
