My booking was made by son in law who had a discount rate for family and friends my invoice was for $1593.90. At check in I was asked for the employees card. I tried ring but my son in law was not contactable and my daughter said they had never been asked for this at checkin and they had to provide this when booking. At check in they said I got an email stating I needed to provide proof at checkin. I told them I hadn’t received any email stating this only that it was needed when booking. I am a female pensioner and was meeting up with two of my school friends who are also pensioners and all on a budget. I was told I had to pay an additional $500 and if I paid by credit card I would be charged 1% which I was not aware of. My total stay cost $2120.98. I covered the extra $500 myself because my friends had only budgeted for a 1/3 of the original invoice, as I did I. For a pensioner on a limited income this greatly impacted on what I could do for my time in Sydney. I have never been in a position in all my travels where I am have been asked to pay more than the booking invoice. I presumed that any other requirements for the booking at the reduced rate in done when booking, which it was. I will never book any accommodation again with the Accor group. I think this was all very misleading and unpleasant. The rooms were also sub standard and very disappointing.

We booked to attend a number of functions. The Mantra on Kent was easy for us to walk to each of our planned events in the CBD. The room was large and comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen. There was a large king sized in its own room, and a fold out bed (lounge) as well. We had a view of Darling Harbour from the room, which added to the spacious feel.

Great accommodation in the heart of the Sydney CBD. Friendly check in lady, happy to oblige with my late checkout request. Room was spacious, kitchen facilities, very clean & great views over the Sydney skyline. Breakfast was great, quality excellent. I will definately stay at Mantra On Kent hotel, thank you for making my stay so enjoyable. As an Accor plus member, the goodies provided were great, thank you..

Stayed at Mantra on Kent Sydney, staff were very nice but the rest of not great, the room smells musty no matnance done the cupboard in the kitchen dosnt close the smell is coming from there, the bedhead look disgusting white stuff on it just not a good look I won’t stay here again, our room was 601 right near the elevator we booked 12 months ago for 3 nights all we could here was the elevator going up and down

Nice location and clean. Travelling with young kids are very convenient. Washing machine and dryer provided. Only set back parking have to pay which is AUS55 per day. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Place is very spacious and easy access to shopping are and just a walk away from Darling aharbour where most attractions are.
