Good location but pitiful breakfast

The hotel is situated on a busy road, but in a great location close to town beach. The view was amazing. We stayed for two nights and the room was clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom only had a sliding door, so did not close properly. The balcony was very small. We could hear all the room doors slamming shut, which made it noisy. The hotel's biggest downfall was the continental breakfast. The room was much smaller than it looks and a staff member was watching everything we ate, which was very intimidating. There was very little choice and not much was laid out. Some type of cold meat and cheese was available, but we had to get it from the fridge, along with the milk, yoghurt and juice. There were no signs to say it was there. The cheese slices were all wrapped up in cling film. The coffee machine didn't work on the first day. Gluten free bread was provided, but there was no separate toaster for it. I wouldn't rush to stay again.

Excellent hotel - facilities & location were great - spacious rooms and well priced. This is a pet friendly hotel too! Staff were professional, very pleasant to deal with and always accommodating - would happily recommend this hotel.

Ibis is always reliable. The room had been renovated which was nice (the bathroom door does have a big gap so privacy isn't great) The corridors were in great need of a renovation. Good service! Nice location, ocean view.

I enjoyed my stay as I was able to have my dog with me. I extended my 4 days to 6 but shouldn’t have as those last 2 days cost me almost the same as the 4. Breakfast I thought very expensive ($18) for juice, cereal, water melon with half an orange and one piece of bread. No one came to sweep, vacuum or change sheets during my stay so lived with a lot of sand on the floor and in my bed. Pillows weren’t the best. 10 min walk to any shops but beach virtually at your doorstep. Would I stay again? Possibly. Staff were friendly.

We came to the Ibis Styles, Port Macquarie for a 6 night stay to use this location as a base to explore the coast and hinterland. We found the staff to be extremely helpful and they responded quickly to any issue we found. The room was adequate for our needs, providing comfortable bedding a good bathroom and a microwave, bar fridge and a kettle. Every morning, I looked out at a great view and could easily walk into town for breakfast or tro the surf club for a coffee.
