Great Family Vacation

We've stayed at Beach Villa in January and had a fantastic family vacation with our toddler. Alejandro was our butler and he was simply superb. He made our stay 100 times more comfortable/enjoyable especially when our little one got sick and he was able to get us some medicine from pharmacy. Our villa was very spacious and beautiful. The resort staff were also very welcoming. Would definitely recommend this Fairmont Mayakoba for anyone looking for relaxing stay!

We were here a few years ago and since then the resort quality has slipped and cost increased. The hotel seems to be catering to large groups at the expense of the experience of other guests for example our room didn’t review housekeeping for 2 days. Gaia is a very good restaurant asks Ki. Toro is ok as is La Laguna. Fuego and Bassano are not great. The golf course is nice but poorly managed from a guest experience, play is too slow. Bathrooms out of service on course for example. The resort need a significant upgrade and lookin tired.

After years of absence due to Covid, major renovations at the Fairmont Mayakoba, and personal illness, we came back in April of this year, at our home away from home, with some apprehension....would our 13th visit since 2010 be as memorable? It was undoubtedly our best vacation ever ..... First, the renovation of the complex is spectacular and truly completed with the customer experience in mind. More restaurants, new beach preservation, upgraded rooms across the hotel, new lobby etc. The new restaurants offer a larger selection of menus and price with the same level of quality and services. Loved Bassano (great Italian food), the Hix Bar for its sushi, the Brisas (fantastic breakfast), and the changes made at the La Laguna (tables on the lagoon for dinner and great buffet breakfast). The new Cielo bar offers a unique place to enjoy drinks and appreciate the view of the sea...WOW! Second the room renovation.....our 726 preferred suite is now a jewel with amazing furniture and wood decoration, plus breathtaking decorative paintings. For more privacy and luxury, suite 830 in the beach area was also spectacular! Third, the beach has been secured of sargassum with major investments in well-designed barriers....impressive! Fourth, the quality of service has been brought at a new level by massive recruiting and training of younger staff, in sync with the renovation. Overall the huge property of the Fairmont Mayakoba has been upgraded with taste, taking into account the suggestions of their loyal customers. Our apprehensions were met by positive surprises and tastily improvements of the spectacular features of the site. The golf, now a LIV course, is always as beautiful and challenging! We will definitely be back in the fall for our 14th visit....we still need to discover the renovated Spa and all the new restaurants. The staff was amazing. We enjoyed getting to meet Alex, Alejandro, and Roger at Brisa. We also had very pleasant interactions with Ricardo of the candy shop of Pueblito. All staff members were warm and welcoming and made the process and stay very easy. We will definitely return.

The property was beautiful, the service, especially on the beach was exceptional and the accomodations were spectacular - we got a complimentary upgrade to a beautiful 2 BR suite! Most of all I would like to compliment Daniel Gonzalez, our dedicated "go to" person... he was absolutely amazing!! Whatever we needed no matter how large or small he was on it without hesitation!! Thank you Daniel for making our trip that much better!!!
