Suspect fire evacuation!

02.15 woken by fire alarm sounding, building evacuated, only one member of staff visible. Most of the guest remained in the reception or restaurant area while the rest of us made our way outside. The alarm continued to sound for arounds 20 min at no time was there any effort ensure all guests moved outside the hotel. There was no explanation from the hotel. The alarm eventually stopped, again no announcement that it was safe to go back in. Eventually we could see gust making their way to the lifts. I went in and saw a member of staff at reception and guest queuing to speak to him, so I joined the queue. When I got to the front he enquired what I wanted, I said I'd assumed you were doing a roll call, he was not, I asked was it safe to return to our rooms, he confirmed it was! I find it hard to believe this is how the hotel deal with such an incident, it certainly doesn't follow any recognised fire evacuation I've seen! Not impressed at all!

We have stayed twice at the Novotel Wembley and have enjoyed both stays. The location is perfect for events at the stadium or arena, the underground car park is an added bonus. The staff are welcoming and friendly and once they found out it was my birthday on the day of our stay they brought chocolates, balloons, a card and a free drinks voucher for myself and my husband. Great service and the rooms are comfortable and well equipped.

We stayed here for a night after an international match. We were impressed by the family suite, two clean, comfortable and spacious rooms, very quiet for the Wembley location. Lovely to have a fridge and cooking facilities.The location is so practical both for the stadium and an easy tube transport connection.

Shafiq offered us excellent customer service. He was very friendly and helped us out with an early check in. Thank you for your help Shafiq! The hotel itself was great for the price. Great location and easy to get to. Clean and tidy and lovely staff.

Off to a Bad Start

So, I have been at this hotel for exactly 5 hours and already I can see this hotel is not up to par. First, we traveled from Canada on an overnight flight. We were tired and walked in the rain to get here. My family and I reached the hotel at 1:15 pm and wanted to see if our room was ready. I spoke with one staff member that wouldn't check me in saying the room was not ready! I asked if we could get another room that is ready.....NOPE! I explained that we flew in from Canada and are tired. NOPE, he didn't care. We waited until 2:50 pm and I went up again to see if my room was ready! Again No. I said are u kidding me?!? Finally at 3:00 pm right on the dot the room was ready! We went to our room and wanted to sleep for a few hours and as I pulled the sheets down, there was black long hair on the sheets with some black felt. I called down and asked them to change it. They came and changed the sheets. Now it's 9:00 pm and I'm trying to have a shower and the water is freezing. Also, they have no phones in the room and I have to go into the hall to call the front desk. First, when I called down the lady said she was sending someone up. 20 minutes later and nobody came. Called again and the man told me they are fixing the hot water problem and it will be back on in minimum of 2 hours. I knew in the back of my head something was telling me not to book here....but I did and here we are on the first night and I'm not happy! I believe when you book with Expedia, you get the short end of the stick. Drains and faucet are rusty and need to be changed! I should have gone with my gut and stayed at the Hilton. I will not recommend this hotel and I will never be back at the Novotel!!
