I can sum this up in 4 lines Positives Nice rooms with a good location. Negatives Poor parking facilities with lack of space, runs on a 1st come 1st served. Poor breakfast,hot food once its gone, it's gone,nothing topped up. No bottled water in the rooms.

Great position - good staff - nice rooms - super breakfast - excellent service & value - we stayed six nights and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and surroundings & so close to the town and beach. We will definitely stay again - good fun fitting the car in the underground car park!!

Poor food - very little choice - parking extremley restricted spaces and access. We cancelled another visit for our return journey through Granville and went to another hotel. My wife and I are both near 80 years old and have a lot of experfinece of French hotels .

A lovely hotel, with tastefully appointed rooms with balcony and spacious bathrooms. There is secure underground car-parking which is a worthwhile extra at 11euro a night given the hotels location and lack of parking around it. There is alift with direct access to reception and the bedrooms. The lift also descends to beach level but terminates at about20 very steep steps, so if you have any mobility problems take the car ! The car park has a height restriction of 1.7 meters which was fine for my Sportage but wouldn't take some of the very tall SUV's. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but several superb eateries within 5 minutes drive. The hotel will book a table for you. Staff are helpful, polite and a tribute to themselves and their management. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation...

I stayed here for a weekend in the early part of September just before the end of the season. When you first approach the hotel by foot, perched as it is right on the promenade, sandwiched between some fairly ordinary buildings and with one letter missing from the illuminated sign so it says “Grand Larg” instead of “Grand Large”, you could be forgiven for having doubts about the hotel. But I was wrong. The hotel is really very pleasant in a fairly typical seaside Mercure way, but with excellent unique touches. I stayed in a large room with a terrace which overlooked the beach and the sea. With the tides here being so strong you really are over the sea. The room was spacious and I slept very well in the bed. The bathroom had a good shower with excellent water pressure. I had a small fridge and plenty of space for my affairs. Breakfast was really excellent and the range of regional product was top notch, and the food was of good quality. The breakfast team are friendly and excellent. All in all I had a good weekend. The final super bonus of course is the direct access to the beach - the tunnel / passageway to the beach is wonderful and I spent a lot of time in the seawater enjoying the swimming which was overseen by the lifeguards. Excellent. Of course there are many more reasons to visit Granville - the Dior museum, the market, the casino and more.
