Fab stay at the Novotel, Liverpool

Very comfortable overnight stay with the family (8-9th Apr). Good clean room & all staff very helpful throughout our stay. Booked Dinner, Bed & Breakfast. Ltd set menu for dinner & only adults (x2) was included, not the 2 children, which wasn't expected & disappointing. However food was delicious. Kids really enjoyed the pool (1/2 hr bookings but you can stay in if Pool us not busy) & there is a Sauna too. Breakfast was fab & all you could ask for. Would definitely stay again as the hotel is also perfectly located for Liverpool 1, Albert Docks & museums. A great stay, thank you all at the Novotel 👍👍👍

The policy regarding the car park next door has changed, I stayed two nights this weekend took my ticket to reception and was told you can now only get discount if you pre book direct with the car park, I had to pay 48.00 so be aware as on Booking .com still says the hotel give you the discount, The hotel is in fantastic position but air con non existent and if u open window the noise is unbearable from the road below with revelers partying all night and police sirens until around 5 am. Breakfast is 18.00 but quality is excellent.

Great location. Good value. Convenient parking. Friendly staff. Let us check in early. Twin room had everything we needed. Not much noise considering it's a city centre hotel (although our room wasn't at the front of the hotel.) Breakfast was decent. Very pleased with our stay here!

Good location but poor hotel

Absolutely awful hotel. I’ve been an Accor member for years and this is one of the worst I have stayed at. Can’t fault the location, very central but rooms dated and dirty. The noise from the street outside is ridiculous - no way is there double glazing, you can hear drunk people shouting all night. As for the air con it’s non existent. The room was boiling hot all night and you can’t open the window due to the noise. Would hate to think what it’s like in the summer. On the day of checkout we used the pool and my daughter needed to dry her hair. No hair dryers and when we asked reception if we could go back up to our room to use the one in the room she said we’d have to pay £10 for a late checkout! It was only 12.10pm which is 10 mins past checkout. Absolute joke. They finally found a spare hair dryer and said just this once she could use it in the conference center but next time we would be charged. I can assure you there won’t be a next time.

Booked a family room for myself and my daughter. No warning on website of what to expect this morning. Checked in yesterday, again, no warning of what to expect this morning. Approximately 10am, loud drilling and banging outside our room. Called reception and was told it was roadworks. Asked why there was men outside our window on a crane lift for roadworks! They sent up the General Manager who knocked twice but as the noise was so loud we didn't hear him! He came back and despite the fact that I was in tears and packing our bag to leave early, without a shower, he told ne 10am was a reasonable time for guests to experience that level of noise and inconvenience. We had to close the curtains as the workmen were right outside the window, the room was actually vibrating! I explained our circumstances to the general manager, he again told me it was a reasonable time. He did offer us a later check out, why he thought we would want to endure a further 6 hours of that noise is beyond me. Absolutely disgusted, I left in tears and my daughter left very frightened. If they had warned us that was going to happen we would have booked elsewhere. I honestly cannot understand why any hotel feels it reasonable to have workmen peering through guests windows, especially when there are young girls in there. Completely ruined the only break Mt daughter and I had been so looking forward to and needed.
