Surprisingly good value

Despite the location at a fairly busy road, the double or possibly even triple rooms were very quiet. Breakfast buffet offers a lot of choice. Location very close to great public transport. The bathroom was a bit smelly however, and we spotted cobwebs on the lampshades in the hotel room corridor (come on Accor, surely someone can remove them!). Would stay again though for the value for money.

Generally a good experience - be aware of shortcomings with the air conditioning

In general my 4 day stay in room 411 was a very good experience. The hotel is in an excellent location with good facilities and direct access to underground parking. Also there is a u-bahn station in adjoining square, and supermarket round the corner. Buffett breakfast was good with plenty of choice. It could be crowded on occasion Stuttgart experienced a heat wave during my stay with some daytime temperatures over 30. I set the room temperature to 19 but the ambient temperature never fell below 26 degrees, including overnight. A friend staying on the third floor asked for a cooler room; and was readily offered a second floor room when he queried the air conditioning. In the event this was no better and he reverted to the original room I would happily stay there again, accepting the limitations of the air conditioning system

ibis Stuttgart Centrum is well positioned, close to the U1 stop Marienplatz, so all destination can be easily reached by public transport. My room was good: the bed was very comfortable, insulation from outside noise was very good. Furniture had evident signs of wear, air conditioning was efficient but quite noisy. Bathroom was good but very small. Breakfast was good, and staff were helpful.

The hotel is all you would expect from an Ibis Hotel. Functional and clean. Location is decent, sat on top of the U-Bahn station, so access across the city is good Staff were friendly and helpful We didn’t book breakfast and we’re glad not too. 15 Euros per person - there is a well stocked REWE supermarket next door with a café/pattiserie where we got a good breakfast for 10 Euros between the two of us

The Ibis Stuttgart Centrum hotel is old but in good condition. Other Ibis hotels have better hair dryers. There were no mini fridges or kettles in the rooms. We had a problem with payment, the first time we couldn't pay the bill, but then everything worked out.
