Nickihump TripAdvisor review

We were not made aware of the music event being held at the hotel. We were not able to use the pool facilities which is not what you expect when book a hotel with pools in Miami! Room was ok, quite small, no real space to put away clothes. Excellent location for beach and the hotel provides you with sun lounges and towels on the beach which is great. Overall a little underwhelming though

When we booked the room, we were not advised we would not be able to use the pool amenities. There was an industrial music festival at the hotel, full of young kids, and the pool area was blocked off for the event. In addition, we had to wait 5 hours for the room to be available.

Worst hotel experience ever

I have been to over 100 hotels in my life, this was the worst experience I’ve ever had. From the pool being closed for the duration of my stay, to the late night pool man putting down his bag to come fight me in front of my girlfriend… all the way to the elevator breaking down in the morning for hours and us having to go up 11 flights of stairs. The manager only offered a 45.00 dollar resort fee removal after the experience… I could not believe this was the renowned SLS. For a room that supposedly retailed over 700.00… 1 star because I can’t give 0 stars.

I came to SLS with a friend and from the start all the service was top tier! Nicholas who was our server at the bar and beach made our trip worth while! He was the sweetest and always provided us with the best service ! He made our stay the best possible!

Great location but outdated

The location is definitely the best in Miami Beach and there are some very nice perks like the pool, pool club, and the beach club. However, the hotel could do with a number of improvements that should be the bare minimum for any world-class hotel, let alone one as expensive as this. The rooms are tiny. While there’s not much that can be done to resolve this, maybe some renovations are in order. There is no desk space for work in the room, and very few electrical outlets, most of which are far from the bed or in other far locations. The wifi is also very bad. My phone had to use 5g almost the whole time. That also means that the Chromecast they offer won’t work either, so there is virtually no option of watching anything on streaming. The bathrooms are also quite dark, to the point where you cannot see things that need to be seen in a bathroom. Also, in one of the rooms I stayed, the electrical outlet in the bathroom was not working. Gym is also quite outdated, with very little equipment for those who lift. Just a few dumbbells and a bench, and that’s all. Another annoying thing are the junk fees charger upon payment, but that is to be expected of almost any hotel these days.
