...seems to be the specialty of the current G.M., Mr. Nils Rothbarth. During a 7 nights stay, occupying 12 rooms and a boardroom on a daily basis, this Gentleman did not find it necessary to greet any of us, not even the common welcome letter. He was on the premises and spotted by some of us. One of the worst management I have experienced. Management avoided us with every single problem we encountered during our stay.

The worst 5 star hotel ever. Dirty room... Internet connection goes down every 10 min and it will not reconnect unless you restart your device. Very annoying especially if you are on a business trip. General manager avoid the guests.

Amazing History --- but forgotten details

The history, location and garden are spectacular. Also several of the staff, notably the doormen were very charming. However, many small details were neglected. A 100$ dollar incidental fee was charged to my card and as I checked out nothing was mentioned and I had to remind the staff to reimburse it. Entry level whiskeys used in cocktails are unacceptable in a 5 star hotel bar such as this one. Our bar food orders were forgotten about. Men's steam room was out of order. Asked for vegetarian food recommendation and meaty restaurant was suggested, which was rather funny. Also, the Accor website is a mess. I spent a full hour trying to book it on the official website and finally gave up and went to Expedia.

My hanging out in Nirobi: First of all it started difficulty because we had to wait 4 hours for our room after a half-day travelling - inspite we paid extra money for the hotel for these few additionally hours. On Sunday we had to wait for our breakfast 1 hour 20 minutes - for a simple breakfast, than 1,5 hour for the lunch. In the boardrum the aircondition did not worked and for the time the business partners are arrived, all of us were swetin from the hot. Our business partner who is engineer showed for the maintenance guy what the problem was, and later it turned up that the filter was dirty and totally black. One of our colleague had permanently allergic reactions. The tissue was run out and the did not refilled the box. Inspite of the hotel and the garden is nice and the meals were good I have to say that I expect much better service from a 5 star hotel. It was the worst hotel I have been in the last 10 years. In my opinion, the problem is that the work processes are not well organized and controlled. This is not because there is not enough staff, it must be a kind of attitude problem.
