Got upgraded lux queen room, as prior requested away from elevators, and didn't happen. Room is average, neutral decor, bit outdated, bathroom tiny, although good CNN tower view. Library bar was great, events area luxurious. Main concern is poor insulation between room, which resulted in worst night sleep in hotel, with horrendous screaming and sobbing from woman next door which was heard for 2-3hrs 1-3am. Reported to concierge same night, and even manager next morning, heard nothing yet for over 1 week still. At one point wanted to dial 911 as concerned for woman's safety.

Pictures online, based on which i booked the room is completely different to the one i was assigned - it was old, tired, noisy, could hear everything including neighbours on their phone having conversation. Very disappointed. Helpful porter at checkout (othertimes the doormen weren’t so welcoming nor bothered - especially for a “five star” hotel). Housekeeping shows up around 4pm to service room..so late.

EZ online booking, pleasant check-in, spotless suite and bathrooms were nicely upgraded. Staff was exceptional.

Online booking was easy to navigate. Check-in was smooth, quick, pleasant and efficient. The room/ suite was spotless throughout complete with robes and slippers. For a legend hotel, the room was spacious and very bright. Every one of the stress was very polite and professional.

The stay at Royal York hotel in Toronto was fantastic, all the employees from the arrival , reception, in room made, concierge were very attentive at our demands. I went to restaurant and bar, the food and the service was made with care. Staff make you feel important and they are always there to help you out! I will highly recommend this hotel!

We don’t recommend to book his hotel. I and my wife were on the business trip for us and canada. our last stop was Toronto. We travelled from last 12 days. We came to Toronto from montreal by car its a long journey. The check in was smooth. Rooms were good. After long journey i want to sleep but we can’t sleep because of the noise of our neighbours.. When we complained the hotel they change our room but they aren’t sure that about the noise. Its was shocking when they said like this. We changed my room but still have noise when the people were talking in their rooms. We don’t recommend this hotel. When you walk in the corridor you can listen the voice from the another rooms
