A budget friendly hotel at a perfect location for a visit of Vienna. The Prater park is extremely close and so is the Praterstern bahnhof which offers a direct connection to the airport, using line S7, which is much, much cheaper than taking the CAT train. The hotel staff is very welcoming and friendly. The rooms were extremely clean and cozy...

Very primitive and very expensive

I definitely don't recommend it. The hotel is very primitive for such a high price. The hotel workers are unfriendly. On the seventh floor, the hallway stank of urine. There is a construction site nearby where workers start working at 6 am, which means it is impossible to sleep. The windows in the hotel do not open normally, but only for ventilation, which is annoying. The location is good, but everything else is below acceptable standards. I was especially struck by the washbasin, which was probably smaller in size than on a plane or train. One day my room was not cleaned, and when I asked to clean it, they said that the cleaners had already left.

best budget hotel in Vienna

We stayed 2 nights. The best budget hotel in Vienna. The hotel has a car park under the building. The price is 22.5€ per day also you can pay it on the kiosk machine by credit card. All the sign directions are in German. I lost my directions too many times. There are so many doors many of them closed. It is like a labyrinth.

My stay at the Ibis budget was very bad. Due to the construction work starting at ~6h15, it was impossible to have proper rest in order to be fit to work. I understand that you're not responsible for the construction work, but I paid 10% more than last year and 50% more than 5 years ago. Actually, there should be discount for the rooms on the construction site.

One step above a youth hostel, for 120 euros per night?

Clean, but very basic. Not what one expects for well above 100 euros per night. Without warning, the lights on the headboard began flashing like strobes around 2AM, then stopped. Then started again... and again, and again. Finally at 4AM the front desk gave me another room. In the new room, nothing quite so strange happened, but the room lights spontaneously turned themselves on around 7AM (which was no particular issue, because the construction site next door became active by 6). I don't think I'll be going back.
