I was traveling to Brazil on Business. On my final day at Curitiba i arrived at the afternoon after having a very long day. To my surprise that the hotel didnot accept my payment in US Dollars. I had to get out all RS to make partial payment in RS & the remaining amount was less than 20 USD. I asked to pay the rest in USD BUT THE RECEPTION REFUSED. i had to call my contact in SAO PAULO to make the remaining payment on my behalf (68 RS !!). A couple of hours later, i wanted to have dinner and clarified again that i only have USD to pay. At the beginning the waiter stated that this is the hotel policy. After very long wait they finally accepted to receive payment in USD for the dinner which was 16 USD. I dont understand how you are supposed to accommodate business class clients with such an unprofessional attitude?

good stay, but no gym

The hotel is ok, but the lack of gym is a issue; I have been to other Ibis and they have Gym.
