Rooms need refurbishment

Outside and reception are amazing. Rooms are old and tired. Rusty and smelly drains and can hear when the neighbours use any plumbing. Paint chipped and dusty skirting boards. Staff are fantastic and the buffet breakfast is very expensive. Does not accommodate the Accor Plus members as well as other Accor hotels. Will not go back for a very long time.

The buffet breakfast is great but the hotel needs a really good clean and paint in a lot of areas. Our room though renovated was so dusty and the wild kangaroos are stunning but you need someone cleaning up their mess. At Australia zoo we saw almost no droppings yet at the hotel it was hard to walk anywhere. The pool is absolutely freezing and spa was out of action for most of our stay. Not suitable for kids to swim which is such a shame as it’s a lovely looking pool, but they lasted 5 minutes it was so cold. Location is good if you have a car to get to other places.

My experience was already somewhat tainted as I became stressed prior to my arrival when I could not find my booking on the Accor app. Eventually I found a confirmation email. Upon arrival at the hotel the missing information was explained. Because I booked a 'conference rate', my booking was deleted from the app and I would not be entitled to any member benefits. Bizarre. The hotel is well appointed and well located, if a little tired even though rooms have been recently refurbished. But the staff seem determined to avoid customer contact. They avert their gaze when customers approach, and when they are asked a question, seem hesitant to engage or smile. The little things are missed. It poured rain for three days during our stay, but the hotel only has about 10 umbrellas! When I asked for one, I got a blank pitying look. 'They're all gone.' Similarly, when I reporting a malfunctioning espresso machine at breakfast, the person I reported it to made it clear that she was busy with other things. There were no 'deal breakers', but there was certainly no 'wow factor' either.

Poor English reception , fast speaking unable to understand. Wrong information for breakfast location Room was old, small, loud rumbling noise all through night, no lighting at mirror. Cheap large Dispenser for shampoo and bath wash. Disappointing Breakfast was very very nice. A lot of selection. Thankyou.
